Just a heads up for everyone in the Chicagoland area. A guy that goes by the name MICHAEL WILKINSON came into Chalk It Up Billiards in Manteno, Il. He's handicaped and plays in a wheelchair. He lost a race to 5 for $50 and payed. He then upped the ante to $250 and lost again. This time he didn't have the money to pay his debt. Says he will make arrangements to pay as soon as he can but we've all heared that one before. Tried to tell everyone he was ranked #3 in the country a few years ago in a wheelchair division. If anyone has had similar incedents or is familiar with this individual please post I'm kinda curious. He's probalbly 40-45yrs old and tried to say he's from Elgin,Il.

Do a search. This story sounds very familiar. I know at least a couple of people have told almost this exact same story.

Yea I know of a couple incidents with this guy, besides unless I know a guy I always post money up first...

I don't understand anyone who will play for anything more than $100 with someone you really don't know and not post up. What is the matter, he wouldn't because he couldn't reach to get the money off the top of the lights if he won? I just don't get it.

watch the derby free streaming ,I have scene a man in a wheel chair playing there, maybe he's the man and you could get the word out..

No, he needs that chair, although he can stand up to take a shot, then sit again.

I don't think you will find a guy like this at the derby. Too many people would recognize him, knock him over, and step on his face.

If you see this guy, try to get a good picture of him to post on here. I don't think anyone will object to knocking this jerk's action.

Is this the guy you seen? He looks much younger than 45-50.

He does, and his initials are SVB. I am suprised he lost that race to 5 for $250. I am pretty sure I've seen him play sans wheelchair.:D

LOL

The guy in the foreground was in a wheelchair!

I don't know if this is him, but we matched up for $50 and he payed me. This guy said his name was Mark and seemed like a rather nice gentleman. In fact, to get in our 10 ball ring game he offered to pay on both the 5 and the 10 and payed up.

That's an outright lie! First of all, players who play on the pro wheelchair tour MUST be handicapped...that means they aren't ABLE to stand up and take a shot! This guy is full of it, and just another hustler...apparently one who can find plenty of suckers who will let him bet without posting the money first!

Next time you see him, sneak up behind him real quick and dump him out of his weelchair... Tell him you'll sell it back to him for $250 or he can pick it up from the closest pawn shop...

Won't work, the last time this story went around he bolted and left the chair behind.

Well, that's mostly correct. Some wheelchair players, even though handicapped, are capable of standing up to shoot particular shots. It's just that according to the NWPA rules, a wheelchair players butt is not ALLOWED to lift up off the seat of their chair .......... ( I kept a close eye out for that infraction, but I never stuck my hand under their ass to find out 'for certain') :)

I know this guy and that is not him . Im from the same area

The same wheelchair fellow did the same thing here in Louisville. Paid off some small sets and bolted after losing a five hundred set. This was during the Qlympics.

If he did it around here he might roll in but not out, used wheelchairs are worth a little....;)
