I see they are having another BIG MONEY ADD in Big Sky Country, and this time it is $5,000.00, and I wonder how in a State with LESS than a MILLION People can have a Pool Event with $5,000.00 ADDED???? When in Phoenix Arizona the SIXTH Largest City is the USA most of the Pool Events are like to have HALF A GRAND ADDED.

I'm not sure why anyone would fish for flies... how do you clean them? Why are you doing Ricky Ricardo impressions?

Maybe you need to be asking the question to the Arizona TDs.

The Question has to do with Montana, not Arizona. I was hoping some Montana could tell how they do all there big adds in the Big Sky Country.

Where does it say "added" ??? It says, $5,000 based on 128 entries.... A $25.00 entry which comes to $3200.00 without adding anything.....Then only $1800.00 would have to be added to make $5,000.00....I didn't see $5,000 added anywhere ???? Am I missing something ????
The ladies says $1750.00 based on 64 entries... $25.00 times 64 is $1600.00........

If you had the full size poster, you could probably see it better, but I think the last zero in 5,000 has "added" written across it from bottom to top.

$5,000 is the added based on 128 players showing up, not the total purse money based on 128 players:smile:

Montana has slots, does that tell you anything about the added to the tournament?;)

Glen

PS. They don't have any money in Montana, so they have to import it from all the outsiders:D

Yes Montana does have Video Poker in MOST BARS, and also Video Gaming/Gambling Establishment all across the State, plus some of the Indian Tribal have Slot, and Video Gaming in the Indian Casinos on Tribal Lands.

Recently on a FISHING TRIP in Big Sky Country stopping for a beer on the way back to the Motel in this little bar, and seeing Video Poker Machine, and got lured in to win like $44.00 in about 20 minutes, and they also had a POOL Tournament the following night that I play in. 33 Players out in the middle of now where Montana, I think I finish 6 or 7 and made another$50.00 on the Video Poker Machine.

We have some of those around here too. A couple things to keep in mind.

(1) There's no promise of how much is added if fewer than 128 players show up.

(2) There's no indication of what of each $25 entry might go to greens fees. Could be zero, could be $5 ($640 for 128 players), could be $10 ($1280 for 128 players).

(3) My money is betting this tournament is played on coin-operated tables. If so, then the "$25 entry" is kind of misleading. At perhaps $1.50 a pop, a person who plays 25 games in the tournament and warms up another ten racks pays about another $34. 128 players doing this is--whattayaknow-- $4,350!

I'm not saying this is not still a good tournament. It probably is, and I applaud the organizers for doing it.
