Why would you not start the Team match with your best player playing first? If I were the captain I would have came out with SVB right off the bat! Nothing against Skyler but you need to come out firing with your best especially against a team that has owned you for the past few years. You need to set the tone of the match and what better way then your best player stepping up and setting that tone..

This is starting to get ugly already but I do like the fact that SVB is closing out day 1. JMHO so all of you Shane haters can hate but this is my opinion anyway. We need to take these last two to end the day down 3-2.

Are you talking about the 1st game of the first set (Team event)? With the way that Shane is shooting today, I don't know if the outcome would have been any different.
 
where are those shanehaters? i always hear about them, but never saw one, not here or in any streamchat! only see ppl who questioning if hes the greatest.......and why u can observe live right now.....

If you think Shane is the US's best Mosconi Cup player you are sadly mistaken. I think it is clear that Bergman is our best player in this format. Should have come out with Bergman and hid Shane, saving him for last.

Darn

I see Shane as the worlds best 9 and 10 Ball player.

I don't see him as the best in the Mosconi Cup format, as history has shown.

He could beat me easily in any format.

I agree 100%. I am by no means a Shane hater. Far from it. He is no doubt the best American player alive but he has never shined in the Mosconi Cup. Bergman has way out performed him. I was ok with sending Sky out though. Those 2 kids played a great doubles match.

Well skyler in the cup plays better then svb..he just doesn't perform well in the team situation
 
They wanted Shane breaking. Rodney should have played first. His break is obviously the worst of the group.

Skylar has been one of the bright spots of that team. SVB has not, so stop.

Agreed...no reason to play Shane last against Daz again considering he's now what 0-4 in cup matches against him heads up? Definition of insanity there...The lineup looks better today, but damn that lineup was bad yesterday. I felt Skyler and Bergman played well and even Mike played well in a tough loss.

We can all play Monday morning QB now that Day 1 is over. All I was trying to say is play your best player first match first set and set the tone. As I said early I respect Skyler and Justin's game they are great players but they don't put fear in people the way Shane does. If I was Europe's captain I would have thrown Shaw first but hey that is just me.
 
Unfortunately Skylar set the tone for the day. I didn't expect SVB to play great but not as bad as he did. Skylar played well with Justin in doubles. Hoping today goes better.
 
Day two is upon us....If any of our players were down in a race to 11 4-1, they would all still be in the match.
 
Shane is a great player in tournaments and gambling. He is far from the go-to guy in MC team format or short races or 9 on the spot with alt break racking. Johnnyt
 
mosconi cup

I think SVB Skyler and Bergman are shoe ins for the Mosconi cup don't know about anybody else though.
