You have the option not to watch if you find that more exiting.I cant stand watching these European panzies play their safety crap.
He missed that five ball, but he did not dog it. There's a big difference between the two. Anyone can miss a shot but when you dog it that shows weakness. Chris will be all right and I don't think that missed shot will affect him going forward.I know rail shots increase the difficulty and likelihood of missing. I felt he was going to be close to hitting the 9 and was really focused on trying NOT to hit it, causing him to hit the 5 a little full.
Great event so far! The “extension banshees” were distracting at first but now pretty funny!!

Easy to find on YouTube.Anyone have a link to a video of today’s Filler/Styer match?
Was it a purple 5 ball?He missed that five ball, but he did not dog it. There's a big difference between the two. Anyone can miss a shot but when you dog it that shows weakness. Chris will be all right and I don't think that missed shot will affect him going forward.
All I found was this, it starts later in the match when the score is 3-1Easy to find on YouTube.
Do you have a link to the whole match? I can’t find one.Easy to find on YouTube.
You are correct Jay, he didn’t dog it. The stroke looked solid and if they were 4-1/8”pockets, he would’ve made it. JJ left Chris pretty tough on the 2-ball, which led to Chris leaving JJ a less than ideal angle to get from the 3 to the 5 without leaving it on the rail.He missed that five ball, but he did not dog it. JJ should have thinned the 1 on the opposite side and run the cueball safely back up table. That was a terrible shot and was the beginning of the end for this set.You are correct Jay, he didn’t dog it. The stroke looked solid and if they were 4-1/8”pockets, he would’ve made it. You’ve got to hand it to the Euro team for taking care of business after that. The only real mistake I saw was when JJ scratched on the attempted safety on the 1 ball, when we were up 4-1. That scratch cost us two games just like Chris’s missed 5 ball cost us two games.
That was a weird shot that JJ scratched on. It didn't look like there was any way to hit it that soft and scratch, but he did. He needed to hit the one ball even a little bit thinner it appears or listen to SBC.You are correct Jay, he didn’t dog it. The stroke looked solid and if they were 4-1/8”pockets, he would’ve made it. Yes, it definitely picked up speed when it kissed off the second ball. That was a weird shot that JJ scratched on. It didn't look like there was any way to hit it that soft and scratch, but he did. He needed to hit the one ball even a little bit thinner it appears or listen to SBC.
He was hooked and could not have thinned the 1-ball on the opposite side as you described. The best he could do was go rail first around two rails, which he did just fine, except for not hitting it quite hard enough.JJ should have thinned the 1 on the opposite side and run the cueball safely back up table. Yes, very interesting. Kind of how a ball can actually gain speed after a double kiss shot. I want Bob Jewett to explain that one to us.Yes, it definitely picked up speed when it kissed off the second ball.
At 4 to 1 after the break the cueball was wide open.He was hooked and could not have thinned the 1-ball on the opposite side as you described. The best he could do was go rail first around two rails, which he did just fine, except for not hitting it quite hard enough.
He's got my vote!Btw, let’s give some real props to Jeremy Jones for stepping up, getting in on a short day’s notice!
It takes Balls to jump right in and put yourself on full display worldwide like he has.
He had been spending a ton of hours as Captain, then found himself within hours as 1 of 5 players.
Thank you Jeremy!

It is a crazy phenomenon.Yes, very interesting. Kind of how a ball can actually gain speed after a double kiss shot. I want Bob Jewett to explain that one to us.
I'm not a physicist but I think it has something to do with the mass and density of a pool ball, and the energy it transfers to the second object ball, as opposed to simply rebounding off the rail. This shot was a little different in that the double kiss did not happen against a rail but in the open table. Buddy Hall once showed me a double kiss shot like that where he made an object ball come backwards toward the pocket, and I never quite understood how he did it.
