Mosconi Cup 2024, Nov. 30-Dec. 3, Orlando

Incorrect...I said American born. Don't try to drag this into political bullshit....bud!
You brought up where someone is born. That by itself raises the ugly head of politics and i simply responded in turn. MC has never been about what's on your birth cert. and thank god for that.(BTW, 4-time US player Charlie Williams was born in KOREA.) Its a made-4-brit-tv exhibition. That's all. People make WAY too much about its importance, if it has any, which i seriously doubt. Five minutes after the last 9b falls no one gives a shit for another year. Later, have a good turk day.........................

The Mosconi Cup is modeled after the Ryder's Cup, which originally pitted Great Britain against the United States around 1920 and later expanded to include all of Europe. These geographical locations imply citizens, and therefore naturally born individuals. While I’ve never come across any concrete evidence stating that these principles were explicitly written down, these are the origins of the event(s). If they permit any player to join, it dilutes the event, as I mentioned earlier. It’s no longer solely a US vs. Europe matchup. I’m not aware of any American Indians with a Fargo score higher than 600, so even mentioning them in this discussion is ridicules....happy turkey to you too buddy.

Great shooting E. He was the underdog but really put the screws to himself early on in that one.
I wish I could keep my foot on my opponents' throat like you did. You didn't let up and were unaffected by his struggles. Nice job champ.
Those pockets can be brutal, but the bigger the lead got, the bigger they looked. :D

I see on DAZN Mosconi Cup broadcast starts at Noon. But it doesn’t state what time zone noon is. Anyone have an idea?

Did anyone else think it was a bit strange that Emily Frazer said she already knows who will compete in the next Reyes Cup?

It was always implied (albeit not confirmed) the Reyes Cup would be Asia vs Mosconi Winners, but she made it sound like its been pre-determined, regardless of the outcome.

Seemed a bit strange.

Those sporty glasses allow her to see into the future where the rest of us simply cannot.

I am a big Oscar fan. I think he is the epitome of a professional and He has put a lot of miles and time in chasing the points to be on this MC team this year. He has earned the right to be on the team, IMO.

Having said that, I think Billy is custom made for this event. He has a swagger and braggadocio that is at least equal to Shaw, which I think ultimately helps the team in this event.

Now, I would not have hated it if he would have picked Oscar over Styer.
Well said. I feel exactly the same.

Oscar is not having a good time with the game….first Archer stiffs him….now he gets snubbed for the Mosconi…and, yes, I mean snubbed.

Agree Oscar earned the spot.
I'm hoping Billy plays his best and brings the energy and fun that has been lacking lately.

I agree he has been playing well and if it were based on that alone he should be picked. But they chose to have wild cards and the fact that the wild card choice was 1 place lower than the “automatic” next place by merit, isnt really a big snub. Just choosing the next best automatically makes it pointless to have a wild card pick

I've been out of the pool loop for months. What did filler do that has a lot of people mad at him that he was not able to play at the mosconi cup this year?

Jayson Shaw in an interview has said the pockets are super tight.

The USA will struggle if that is true.

WNT players said they were going to boycott WPA events.

Filler changed his mind on the boycott and went to New Zealand & China to win big money in WPA events.

Filler then missed Hanoi open as the WPA were threatening a ban on anyone who played in that event.

This reminds me of a old saying:

“You can’t please everyone all the time.”

I think we can all agree on that. No matter who got picked, snubbed, where someone was born and on and on and on.

However if you make too many poor choices and piss off too many people that can cause a problem as well. Which could be an issue here with the Mcup.

I stay very in the middle, enjoy the show, hope who plays makes a good match of it and a spirited competition. But without mentioning any specifics. There is a good bit of things wrong with how this has been put together-not came together. But assembled-I don’t like it, this year.

I get it, it’s biz. MR needs a marketable result. Sounds like wrestling all of a sudden…..🫤🫤

That’s the problem,

I hope it all works out

Fatboy
