Mosconi Cup Day 4 updates thread

Could Souquet have been any luckier on the miss. He got like five good rolls the last two games. That sucks, I was hoping for more pool. Congratulations to the European Team.

20-1 in odds. Sorry friend but we brought it home. You did you're best. God bless Europe :) Ralph you're the KING

So many rolls to Europe.

I have never seen so many one sided rolls with the exception of one guy out of my old pool hall that we called lucky who I had seen win entire tournaments without making two balls in a row on purpose. This was just Europe's year.

Hard to fault someone for getting lucky but luck sure prevailed in this case.

However a quote from Rodney about not being able to run out in 2007 is telling. He needs to slow down and work things out. He is still a favorite of mine but he gave up control of the table way too much.

As bad as USA played and even with the rolls they managed to win in a semi close fashion.

Not sure what you meant?

What did you mean by pop in for a few games? Did you mean you liked my commentary on the few games I posted for, or you'd like to play me a few games?

Hey STF-UP !!! Do you mean that there are no people in the US potentially having problems with their dentals!! Have a walk in Baltimore and have a look and you're understand that you are on the wrong track!
Leave it!!

That was uncalled for! Everyone I know in Baltimore has straight teeth!! :D :D :D

If we lost?

If we lost, congrats to the Euros. I hope everyone acted like gentlemen in both the win and the lost. Just like the Cubs, wait till next year!!:D

Luck? I think US had a hell of a fight back but calling the opponent lucky is not fair. How about that 3'rd last put Ralph did? Tony Drago was mentioned by the US to be the weakest link, but voted to be the best player.... Tony however acknowledge his opponents and welcomed the US team for the next tournament. For me that's sportsmanship and I think Waco Jaco Strickland could learn something from that. Good night friends and see you next year for a rematch or whenever we start arguing about something.

All the best

Europe got some crucial rolls... but that's the nature of 9-ball.... and why I hate it at times.

Entertaining no the less.... best $5 I've spent in a while... great feed quality.

bad rolls?

i have wondered about this before. when people say they got bad rolls they almost have to mean because of what the other player left them right. i mean i have seen people playing and shoot a shot and the cue ball roll up behind another ball or roll slowly and scratch and the comentators say oh they got a bad roll. the only bad rolls there really are the ones where the cue ball is kissed in on the break and the ones that come from a defect in the equipment right, the rest would just be bad shots? just wondered.

He he he. Sorry if I hit below the belt. You have my apology. Having past some of the "scenery" by the harbor and luckily not walking around a couple of blocks in the wrong directions, I'm glad I'm alive :D Not to forget the Yellow cab I had. Anyway, Charlie's Pro Shop is great !

All the best
