Mosconi Cup, day 4

Can't believe how the balls are rolling for the Euro's.....When USA comes to the table they never have a shot. Even after that jump shot...you'd think if he missed, there would be a shot. Nope...

The break is what's winning it for the Euro's...

I know that it's easy to say what if... But if we would have just held our lead in two of the matches where we came out strong, we would be all square at 7-7.. It's not over but it's looking bleak for USA... Crappers!

I have the impression that our team has practiced on the break - a lot which for sure shows.

By the way, the put made by JJ top left corner ... He hit the rail 50cm from the pocket ... Those pockets must be stock Brunswick? I played on a Metro table ones and the pockets was HUGHE !

The pockets are like buckets....way too big for these guys. I agree, JJ's shot hit the rail about the first diamond.

4-1 to Europe

Shane had a unfortunate hit on the white and made ball in hand to Mika

Mika was moving (drinking water-waving towel) in what looked to be in Shane's sight, as he was shooting that delicate 9 ball. he was 180 degrees to the side.....

Even if he wasn't in the line of sight....he couldn't know for sure.

Typical Mika antics.

Oh come on JAM. :( I had the pleasure of sitting at the TV tables at the US Open. Everybody was waxing their cues with their huge white towels while the other player was playing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Usually, the Europeans throw things in the ring where the TV table is, while their counterparts are stomping their feet, screaming at the top of their lungs, and blowing air horns.

Of course, if the Americans exhibited this behavior, the anti-American contituency of European fierce wild dogs would rip 'em apart if they even so much as twitched while in the TV table arena.

I thought it was a good event and every one at the end showed good sportsmanship. Nice to see Rodney bringing his kid down and hear Tony Drago say ; "Thanks to the US team - we are all friends" and of course being "touched" by playing in front of his home crowd.
I guess the debates would carry on here about antics on both sides, but the debate I leave to you guys.

Next time would be in Vages so I guess we have to wait until next time then :)

Would be a great opportunity for an air horn vendor in Vegas next year.

No Excuse for the Americans period if you ask me. Europe has just gotten to strong. U.S has lost its dominance in pool for some time now.

U.S just needs some new blood to take over. No offense to double J but I could think of atleast 3-5 guys that would be a better choice than him. I also think they should really let Strickland go. His antics will not help the team spirit at all.
