Most underrated pro player ?

All of the Taiwanese pros besides Wu and Yang. Actually I think the problem there is that Americans have trouble remembering their names.

The best unknown player in the philipines!!

Other than that - Darren Appleton would get my vote.
I knew he was good, but after I saw the white washing he put on John Schmidt 10-0(alt-brk) today . - he played as well as I've ever seen anyone play. Getting out from everywhere, and this is 10 ball at the SBE

He could take over both Mika and Ralf as the best tourney player in the world.

If he does a rematch with Hatch, this time I would bet on Daz!

I don't know but Ralph Souquet gets my vote.

Ralph flies under the radar more than a lot of other players because he is a quiet machine and doesn't gamble. He doesn't demand a lot of attention that other players do, but underrated is one thing I wouldn't call him. He is a top player and everyone is well aware of that fact.

As the saying goes, "the squeeky wheel gets the grease." There are a lot amateur players recently that have made more headlines than Mr. Souquet. I have a lot of respect for this mans game, character and professionalism.

Agreed- I think DAZ is still on the improve too. That's scary.

I was impressed with Darren at Derby even though I do not watch much 9 ball and 10 ball.

He had the high run in straight pool at the Derby with a 183 http://vimeo.com/19924939

and took first place in the straight pool challenge and he has barely played the game.

 Joey is nicer in person than his posts so he is underrated. I had the pleasure to meet him while at Mardi Gras, we played for about an hour.

Dave

Dave,
When it comes to underrated, you're way up there on my list, too!
:p

Ignacio Chavez. Tommy Kennedy, and yes Darren Appleton. I believe Darren is not considered as great as many phinoys and a few europeans, but will show the world in the next few years, that he already has the skills and just needs the stage for all to see he is a champion amongst champions.

Neils Feijen (sp?). It seems he's in the top ten of about every tournament he enters, and I believe he's at least partially blind in one eye. How strong is that!

Anyone that would underrate Dennis has 1) never played him..2) never seen him play. This guy is a monster

Sadly, many do or at least did until Mosconi Cup 2009. If ya been around awhile like I have, you gotta laugh when people attempt to say he isnt world speed because he's been so since he's 17 yrs old.

The other player that comes to mind is Charlie Bryant...
