Motivational sayings for my wall

1)
I have more than enough strength and endurance to win and beat my opponent every time I play, and I always play to win.

2)
It's the repetition of affirmations that leads to belief and once that belief becomes a deep conviction things begin to happen.
Mohammad Ali

3)
And for fun:
If you even dream of beating me you better wake up and
apologize.

Get a Big picture of SVB up on the wall.... We all know his motivational saying is "They can't be me....." Take a Giant bright red magic marker to it and write across the whole thing... "Oh Yes I CAN!!!"

If the horse is dead, get off.

A Smith and Weston gets better resullts than a few kind words.

Pearls of wisdom!

Im in the process of setting up my new home room, and would like to put some motivating quotes up on the walls. Like "we play like we practice".

What are some quotes that you like to use with students, for self motivation, or to just get your mind in the right place during practice sessions?

Woody

"You miss 100 percent of the shots you never take"

The ten most important 2 letter words....

I like that one very much Charlie.....When I was young and fearless I traveled to every tournament within driving distance... I never cared who I drew and I cashed in enough events to keep it fun and interesting.....

In my late 20s I matched up everywhere my job took me... Most fun I had was playing Reed Pierce in Jackson... He always got the money but I won sets and he beat me playing the right shots while I was fearless and was shooting at everything.... I didn't fear playing a US Open winner, or losing money, or missing....

Fast forward 20 years and playing a named pro now sends my anxiety thru the roof......

Last year I played the Music City open and crushed my first opponent 11-3 by coming out of the gate with a 6 pack.... Then I drew Max Eberle and won the lag and ran out the first rack.... I then broke em wide open and missed a straight in shot on the one ball and my anxiety/fear rose up and overwhelmed me....

My next match was someone I never heard of and I put a few 3 packs together to end up winning 11-6...

Next was Robb Saez.... He beat me 11-6 and the fear/anxiety was unbearable I had enough chances to have beaten him but I couldn't get out of my own head....

I have been trying to decide why it only happens if I know who they are but maybe I just give up on that idea and adopt your mantra......

I always find this inspirational.
