Are you and I now playing in the same room?

Howdy All;

Being as the majority of pool I shoot is at the local VFW which is in SW desert of N.M.
we get a fairly eclectic blend. Anything from Frank, Dino and the Rat Pack to some of
the more unintelligible schlock that's the current "noise" that irritates anyone more then
20 years older then the so-called "artist". But, the most played is Western followed closely
by Country.
Tell ya the truth, I don't even hear it when it's my turn to shoot.

I have really been getting into a band called 'free salamander exhibit'. Weird art metal. Like really weird.

My favorite thing to do in the bar or the hall is to play like 6 to 9 song of a good mix for the room I'm in. Then play Adel or amy whinehouse or something like that. Watching the reactions is great!

You get what you pay for. If you don’t like the “noise” played by others then step up and play something you like.

Just don’t subject your fellow pool fans to Hotel California for the 10582947th time. For Pete’s sake, let that old dog lie.

Pretty funny that classic rock, which at one point was hip and cool, is now Muzak/inoffensive background music.

Dare you to try some of these tunes:cool:

To me it doesn't really matter, music is strictly background but useful. I may find a tune or
two and a word or a lick might drift out that I know to help the rhythm, but generally I can
tune it out. I also need the sounds of the environment, the balls crashing, chalk
scratch and squeak, the drone of conversation, stuff like that. However, on league night at
our home bar it's Live Blues Jam Night. After one or two sets that can get really irritating
and I'd just like it to be quiet because live music in a place that small gets really loud,
maybe a little juke box would be OK, but the music is of no consequence, it's just
background noise if I'm playing.
