My 2014 SBE acquisition-JB Case

I accomplished what I went to SBE to acquire.... a new case! Well, not new exactly. But it is a very nice case. This is one of the nicer JB's I have seen at least in my opinion. There was a guy walking around trying to sell it and we made a deal.

It was made in 2011 so it's a few years old but I really like the slightly worn look and patina on the leather. When I showed it to Karen she told me she was the one who did the color on the tooling.

I'm hoping that JB chimes in with which model it is. I completely forgot to ask him. Plus, he was a bit hung over on sunday so I didn't want to bother him too much. Lol!

Let me know what you think. Sorry for the crappy photos, this is my first attempt at shooting a case.

I like this one. The leather looks like an old baseball glove that will only look better with time. I love that.

HOLY CRAP!!!

I can't believe you have a JB case. Next thing you are going to post is that you are putting a Sugartree in it.

As always, great pics!

Thanks Chris!

Yeah..... John and I worked out our differences at the SBE last year over a beer.

Now as far as ever owning a Sugarcrisp......... NEVER going to happen. ;)

I saw this case in person as Tom was showing off. I tried not to look at but some strange force pulled up my eyelids all the time. Just messing with you bud. Beautiful case....love the patina.

I am shocked as well because I remember that thread where a case damaged his cues.

Glad they worked out their differences.

To be fair, that wasn't a JB custom case. It was a mass produced in china Sterling case. I was given to opportunity to compare them and they are not the same. Not even close.

Good to hear and that case is nice. I like a slightly used case. Reminds me of a baseball glove, has that broken in look. Doesn't look like a noobie's case. Perfect combo with those nice cues you have.
