My BCA Vegas Experiences

WW,
Thanks so much for the photo's - I'd give you some rep if I could.:)

Very sorry I couldn't make it for some pool - my only trip to the AZB room found it occupied. I didn't hit a single ball all week; but a game with the Queen would have made it a week to remember. Maybe next year:( :(

Let's see, talked to Mike Hurst, Ewa Mataya, Jon Kucharo, Grace Nakamura, Stephanie Boch, Santos, Dennis Orcullo, Shane Van Boening, Julie Kelly, Robin and Roy Dodson, the Ashton twins, Cathy Metzinger, all the NW players, Charlie Williams, Ike Runnels, Stan Tourangeau, Mike Vidas, Andrea and Larry Wilson, Maryann McConnell, Tyler Edey, Edwin Montal, Max Eberle (who sweated pro matches with us), Vagabond, Nikki Hollingsworth, and Mitch Laurance, (I hope I didn't introduce Ewa as Ewa Mataya, but I think I did...in front of Mitch!) and more. Felisa commented one time that we had gone the record of 26 feet without finding someone I knew, lol.

I've often wondered about Ewa's name. I've seen her introduced as Ewa Laurence, Ewa Mataya Laurence and Ewa Mataya. What is correct? Isn't she married to Mitch Laurence? And why would she continue to use Mataya? Is Mataya her own real name?

Her name is now Ewa Laurance, because she is indeed married to Mitch. However, I have been so used to referring to her as Ewa Mataya, that I am sure I slipped. She got the name when she was married to Jimmy Mataya. I'm not sure if she still uses Mataya as in Ewa Mataya Laurance, but she might, as she was known as Ewa Mataya for years. That's my story and I'm sticking to it!

howdy

I saw you many times in passing, Ms. Carter, but didn't get a chance to say hello.

I will do so the next time I see you. ;-)

And it was great meeting you as well! Unfortunately, you're not the only one I forgot to mention. :( I also forgot to mention Todd Speakman (UWPoolGod1)...and Mike Page.

Thanks! Had a good run. Lost to the winner twice 5-3 on my mistakes. Masters-be-ware next year. ;) :D

Atwell was tweaking because you got to shoot in the Open, lol. Anyway, congrats, great job!

Btw, in another thread where you said you lifted $ off me, you sure did. Felisa volunteered me to get in that ring game. Thanks, Felisa! :p Unfortunately, you forgot to mention that you followed Felisa and I followed you! Not much opportunity to clean up. :(
