My Derby Trip

Thanks TAR

Justin the product you provided was great the stream sucked a little but what to hell. I feel very fortunate to see pro players in action. Thanks again for you and your teams hard work.

That picture with Shane playing Scooter (or is that Tedder?) with John Morra and Alex in the background is great, its one of the best pictures I've ever seen involving pool.

I love the game too much to start hating it. Maybe some of you know what I mean.

I do know what you mean. As someone who has set as up and torn down a hundred booths I know exactly what you mean.

As I said at the ICCS when you only had SOME OF your gear there I am thoroughly impressed by what you go through to bring us these broadcasts.

Whoever said that technology hasn't caught up with you is 100% right. You guys rock it and you never stop trying to improve the product.

Thanks for all you have done and for another great DCC from this fan's perspective.

I didn't get a chance to see much of your live stream but I enjoyed the little I did see. Hopefully the casino can get the bandwidth problem worked on for next year.

Nice pictures too, I thought Alex quit playing with his R-12. Evidently not.

Justin, it really sucks that the trip was that stressful for ya! I jumped around so much watching tourney matches, checking out pool goodies, playing in the AZ room, and on and on, that my time in the action room was kind of limited this year (couldn't stay for as many days as I'd have liked to). But, I would like to thank you and all the guys that nade TAR at the Derby possible....and thanks again for the new shirts, DVD, and OB Break cue! Hopefully next year will MORE than make up for this year's Derby!!!

He plays with a Mezz cue now. He just wanted the Schon rewrapped he said. First time I saw him at a Lexington All Stars event way back in the day he was playing with that cue. Pretty cool to see he still has it.

He also said he wants to play Shane another race to 100 in May before the BCAPL Nationals. :D

May is shaping up to get interesting.

not to mention 2 of the guys that gamble the most every year, Kirkus and Terry.

Justin,
That shot of the projector on the wall near the staircase looks mint. Although I was not at DCC, that looks like something that I would definitely recommend as a keeper. Looking forward to seeing you at SBE and hope that you will have some of the new TAR gear that you gave us sneak peeks of a couple of weeks ago.

One of the coolest moments of the Derby for me was coming up to the escalator to go upstairs to the action room and Efren was leaning up against the bottom rail looking up at the match on the wall while Henny and Dechaine were playing. Wish I would have had Justin's camera because it would have been a classic.

We also want to thank all the players and people in the action room who made it a pleasant experience. To those who made it otherwise may you go busted and have no cell phone reception.

See you next year.

Great job, Justin. TAR was awesome as always, online and in-person.

I was not around during the weekend to purchase the PPV, so I just ordered a DVD and donated a little extra for the enjoyment I got of the free stream and the TAR room.

I hate you guys had to hassle with some jerks. Good luck and keep it up, pool needs you guys.

Well......it seems as if I was caught in a couple of compromising photos.:o
I guess that is just the kind of trash you should expect to find roaming the halls at 5 AM.

I had a blast this year, thanks in large part to the Action Report crew. Justin, Chad, Andy and Beav devoted all of their time to manning the TAR booth so the home-peeps could see the action. I saw firsthand how much they sacrifice to bring the coverage they bring. Long hours on little sleep is the norm, sometimes depending on others to bring a drink or a snack because they can't leave the operation unattended. I won't say it is a "thankless" job that they do, but I did see the # of emails that were sent and there weren't very many "thank you's".

These guys worked very hard to bring the DCC experience to those who couldn't make it. Sometimes things aren't perfect, but you can be sure it wasn't because they were sitting around ignoring issues. We are lucky to have these guys doing what they are doing.

Thanks,
D
