That is it. A man who has a love that is so pure for a game and fans and players. He does the best he can. That used to mean something to people. Now people just pile on him cause he makes a few errors and might miss a payment. I hope everyone in this thread has a 900 credit score that is critical of Mr. Barry Behrman.

Barry is great at promoting pool.
His ability to manage money is not as great.
He puts on a tournament for the players, but also to make some money.
So instead of paying prizes in full, doesn't he deserve first crack at some spending money.
The time before the open, the prep he isn't making anything, but he is spending a lot.
Since the WPA is afraid to do anything, even after the players pushed for some direction on their own, Barry has proven he can do whatever he want.
Now more than ever. The players can't stop him. The WPA is scared to take action.
If he can't be stopped, then he won't be stopped.

After it is over, a person would sit down and crunch numbers. What areas cost more, which areas could be nixed, and other areas be pared down. That type of thing. Apparently, Barry doesn't. Barry bragging on the mic during the after speech. He was more worried about 100 dollar glasses of champagne than anything else. Ego on a mic.
One can eat as much Poo as they want. The taste isn't going to change just because it is another year. Gotta cook it different.

The greatest players from these countries are on video shooting pool with chickens running around and I am expected to believe they have banks and western unions? It took Rambo and 5 mercinaries to find people there in the last Rambo film, i know Mr Behrman doesn't have those resources available to him.
As far as the VIP seats. Mr Behrman moves the tournament every year to provide optimal conditions for players AND fans alike. Because a given venue cannot accomodate all the fans is that Mr. Behrman;s fault? And who doesn't love a good game of musical chairs? Let your hair down and eat some fruit. You are way too stressed over this.

The problem with this is, it might help for the future of the game but not help
he or she's bills to get paid that week or month.
The problem with pool is most of your pros need a side job at Walmart
because of the inconsistencies pool has to offer on this side of the globe.
Asia has big payouts, no issues and the game is taken serious like it used
to be over here.
Winning a event on ESPN might help the individual player but as far
as helping the game, I don't see it.
Pool has to be on T.V a whole lot more than a few events but people
just don't take to it.
TSN tried and lost ratings and more ratings with no recovery.
When we all watch streamed events, thats cool cause everyone on the stream
enjoys pool and chats it up.
Imagine if these streamed events were on T.V? My opinion is most outside
viewers would think it was boring and would show no interest.
Pool is just not entertaining to most people. It sucks but thats the way it is imo.
