My first cue finally finished

Ahhhhhhhhhhh!! I wonder what that means ??

Nothing really. I just remember seeing another thread about a cue that was one of those 'Guess the maker' threads. And it had been days with no clearcut answer posted. Now I'm beginning to put the pieces together.

So the 'Ahhhhhhhhhh' is just the voice in my head acknowledging that NOW I think I have an answer.

I was lucky enough to hit a few balls with this cue at the SE cue show and it plays even better than it looks. And it looks GREAT!

This cue is the whole package.

Scott <<== didn't even scuff the finish

This is such an amazing cue. I just wanted to bump it for those who may not have seen it.

Breathless Cue Sir!! Absolutely Breathless

I can't believe not 1 person asked to see the rest of the cues from the picture. I see like 3-4 butts and shaft collars- I have a feeling yours was the stunner. But its always kool to see what Mr.Searing has in Progress. To have seen like 5 other Searings-the nutz. thanks for the pictures Nick!! I know you took the picture as a teaser right? I hope you and the insurance man have a long talk about the value of this cue!!! It looks priceless and irreplaceable. Thanks again to all -Dennis what a gift you have given-the skills to make a thing of such beauty. thanks to all involved- now that is real love put into a cue. Mark

Not sure how I missed after several bumps over the years.

Great friggin' cue Scott! Love it!

Hope you have a Happy Holiday season!

Take care,
Chris

This is my most favorite cue I've seen to date.

I REALLY like gamblers. They're just about the only inlaid cues I like.

I really like the Schick amboyna burl cue that was posted for sale last year sometime, but this trumps that by far for me.

Hello Ralf,

Good to meet you at the Sports Academy in Bangkok, Bangkok is where it's at!!! Good time with you and little Ken....and all of the beautiful Thai ladies....the Thai women are the most beautiful in the world....( The Japanese and Chinese are also real beautiful).......lets's see what time is the next flight out...

If you love playing pool Bangkok is the place to be...like it used to be in the U.S.A. at one time. The love pool there much more than here in the U.S.A.....

I always have a great time in Bangkok and always look froward to my return.

Haven't been back to Pattaya in about a year...if I go there again I will give you a call.

It's was a pleasure to meet another cue collector maven.

Until that time,
Scott

Well I just completed my first cue. When we were in Vegas in 2006 for the BCA tournaments I mentioned to Dennis(Searing) that I always had wished that I could have built my own cue and he said " Let's do it", the rest is now history. I began construction on June 24, 2006 @ 10:15 am and finished April 22 2008 @ 7:43 pm. All I can say is what a wonderful adventure. I had like no craftsman skills in the beginning....Dennis taught me step by step and explained what to do and the rest was in my hands.

Initially I was going to build a four ebony point flat faced Ivory jointed cue and it just began to evolve into my Dice Cue. It is Lucky # 7, all inalys are one and six in the cue.

All white in the cue is Ivory and the silver is pure silver.
The forearm has an ebony remill and three veneers. I went with three shafts with matching joint caps and medium Moori tips.

Cortland Irish Linen wrap coutesy of the Pechauers.

Dennis made all of this possible and his encouragement and support was amazing. I am very appreciative of Dennis letting me do this in his shop and his guidance and friendship.

My thanks to Darth and JazznPool and Big John Horton for kicking around some ideas. My thanks to Gus Szamboti the reason I fell in love with cues,Barry Szamboti,John Showman, and Bob Manzino for inspiration and sharing of their cue building knowledge.

Thanks to Nick Serdula for showing me how to post the pictures.

Dennis thanks for everything and you made a dream come true.
Dennis you are the man,the myth, the legend.

Oh, by the way it plays like.......awesome, moves the cue ball like real great and the hit, feel and action perfect for me, the Ivory joint has a real nice soft smooth hit and crisp at the same time.

Thanks, Scott

A couple more pics showing the inays a little better with the silver frames around the Ivory;
