Fanelli Forte

I was fortunate enough to meet and have Paul talk cues as well as do some local repairs. Outside of being a genuine nice guy he was passionate about his splicing techniques. He had so many jigs set up in his shop and was always amazed with what he was coming up with.

You have a classic Fanelli Forte cue. While he made several 4 pointer and veneer cues his butterfly cues became his trademark. Congrats on a nice pick up.

The cue is awesome! Very unique and original, thanks for the pics.

Looks like the joint protector came on handy:p.

Hey

Thanks....I don't remember seeing that many with veneered points. was that something he didn't do often, or was I just not paying attention?

miss him...

Paul was a remarkable and humble man....a fine cuemaker who made wicked spliced cues !!

Steve, great example of his work....love all the contrast with woods and veneers.

Such a beautiful cue. Mr. Fanelli was the King of the Splice.

His work will be missed.

Thanks for sharing,
Chris

What a gorgeous cue you picked up. Have never owned one of Paul's cues but this one is a beauty. Congrats on a winner.

That's a great example of Paul's work, he was simply one of the best Cue makers there ever was. He only scratched the surface of what he was capable of.

The first but hopefully not the last Steve. Great pick up for sure.

Paul was a genius who constantly pushed the envelope and thought Outside the box. And while he was famous for his butterfly work, Paul did some excellent pointwork and yes, many of his points were veneered.

Congrats on a nice pick up.

hey

I thank everyone for there kind words.....and for the info on Paul and his cues.

I was never one for the butterfly cues, but these days I find them amazingly artistic. I am so happy that my taste in cues has expanded

In that case, you hit a homerun! The cue is gorgeous and a true example of something Paul did sooooo well: he used a slew of splicing techniques and gorgeous woods to make a cue that left people saying "How the heck..." all without using a single inlay. Just woods and splices.

Congrats again!

that great looking cue !!!! over all the color flows very well... great buy & great playing cue too.. too bad I didn't get mine as i have an order with Paul before he passed. god bless him
