Before i start i'd really like to thank John Barton for his help in getting this table for me...it's a used table in excellent condition and John kept the table while i was looking for space to install it...He made no profit from it, yet troubled himself by trucking the table back to the manufacturer to check that everything was in inorder, repacked to ensure everything is good for shipment and assembly. The time he took to help me with the table could have allowed him to overlook his 5000 workers to make 28,264 JB Fully Tooled Custom Cases. Therefore i can't thank him enough...
Here's how the table looks:
Before i show more pictures i'd like to share with everybody how things gets done in China. There's been too many threads about China this and that...so once and for all, i'd like to showcase the system we have in place here for excellent transportation. Again, a special shout out to John Barton in coordinating with the necessary department for these transportations.
Here's a picture of my wood rails, beams and legs in it's original form. They are then handpicked according to their qualities for different parts of the table. On it's way to my place.
Pictures of the Side Rail again in it's original form. Although Chinese made, these rails are competition grade rails that Brunswick have been trying to knock off for the longest time.
As John customised a very special table cloth for me, it was no easy task having them woven since they won't be mass produced. John had the cloth fashioned after his favourite Hello Kitty character. Here's how the cloth looks.
Due to the complexity of colour and design he had to start from scratch and fabric was hand woven here on site. Thus he had to get his raw materials delivered to me too.
The remaining components were ordered from all over China and we had to get a courier to collect from all over the place. Tough job.
As we all know John is a people's person. Welfare is of utmost important to him when it comes to his workers. Even so for the poor chaps that had to deliver the materials to me. On his own account John had a waterboy throughout the entire journey to ensure no one suffers from dehydration.
