My Garage..........Update !!!!!

I posted a while back about converting my garage to a pool room. Here are some progress pictures.

I asked in another thread what color I should paint my GCI and 99% responded that I should paint it black. I pondered the color decision for quite a while and decided on the same color scheme that it was when I bought it.

Here's a black one:

I upgraded to auto paint, Escalade Pearl white for the base and Corvette Electron Blue Metallic for the skirts and aprons.

I think that Ernesto will be able to start work next week sometime, hopefully that is the case, I can't wait!!

Nice pics Russ. That's going to be a terrific set up. It will look great in your room with those colors.

Is Ernesto re-doing the rails too?

Just let us know when the AZ inaugural pool room party is going to be so I can make travel arrangments. That is going to be a super nice looking setup! Definitely post up pics when it's completed. Hey, if you're looking for artwork for your new room Allison Fisher has a really cool pic of her for sale on her site. I got one and had it matted with a textured blue material to match. Would be cool with your Corvette blue. Just a thought. =o]

Wow....................a few weeks on a 9ft table with 4 inch pockets...........................................look out. Our onepocket table is 4 3/8s and its a tough table to play nine ball on...........
 
Thanks Cyrex, I'll check the Allison pic. I have a bunch of Corvette stuff to put up and some muscle car stuff. I think that I need to pick up some Billiard stuff also.

I am putting together a custom cue rack made from glass and metal brackets. I don't know how it will work out, but I didn't want a typical wood rack. It will hold 14 cues total.

Ya Bells, 4" pockets are a little tough and there are definately pros and cons. But, all my tables have had them and I like going to tournaments with 4.5" or 5" pockets after shooting on 4 inchers!!

I have to agree, black is the way to go.

BTW the above is credited to the Rolling Stones.
 
JDB - I would have definatley done all BLACK if the tops of the rails were black like on a Black Gold Crown.

But with the wood grained rails, I just don't like the look with black.

Regardless of the table color, it should play fantastic after being set up by Ernesto and Oscar!!

We all have our opinions, but I very much agree that a black table will not look good with the wood-grained rails. There are many other alternatives that work better.

The approach you took is hard to beat! Good luck with the room.

Looks very much like mine..but my top rails are blacker. And very nice setup..normally pictures like these make people wet..

Yep!! Ernesto is a sick man.....:D

And, he is on his way to my house as I type!! He will be picking up the rails to add the extensions and new Artemiss rubber.

The Simonis 860 should be here tomorrow.

Looking good for final assembly end of this week.
