That’s a amazing house!

Enjoy in good health. That’s a fantastic property.

I can’t wait for the boarder to open again, I’m so over due for a trip to Japan, I like to visit 2-3 times a year.
Thanks! I actually moved from Tokyo to Niigata just for this house. It's not easy to find a house in Japan with enough space for a 9 footer and I wanted a traditional-looking house. This is one is built with the best materials, almost everything is Hinoki Cypress and other fantastic woods.

350m2 (3800 square feet) with 11 rooms on 2 floors.

That was my next question how many M^2 lol.

I love houses and architecture. That’s one heck of a house for Japan as space is limited there. When I saw a 9’ table in a private residence I knew it was a very special home.

The woods are fantastic, as are the gardens.

Mrs Fatboy jokingly asked if you were related to the Emperor of Japan. The dining table is as nice as the pool table! Beautiful 😍

I enjoy looking at trophy homes all over the world. The details, history, culture, provenance etc are all interesting to me. Not just the size, that’s only for reference so I can better visualize a property. It’s always been a passion of mine. I’ve been lucky to own some pretty cool houses. With interesting history in couple cases.

Thank you very much for the link to the photos.

Kindest regards

We share the same passion :) I'm always looking for beautiful houses here in Japan, even though I'm not buying them right now, but I enjoy the photos.

I'm German! Wife's Japanese :) The table is a very beautiful monkeypod table! Looks even better in real, super beautiful grain. Very expensive but I've always dreamed of such a dining table.

Last time I was in Japan, Sept. 2019, I visited Newart in Chiba to pick up a few bits and pieces, and the owner suggested I come and play some tournaments. Then….. COVID :(

I hope they lift the restrictions soon. Haven't seen my family in 2 years, bought this house and build this nice pool room but my father only knows it from pictures, would be nice to show it to him in real.

Fine things in life typically are expensive and well worth it.

That’s cool my 2 favorite countries Japan & Germany. In no specific order. I have a friend who’s a sushi chef last 30 years he’s 50/50 German/Japanese. His brother the same. Funny thing is my friend looks 90% Japanese and his brother looks 90% German. Same mom & dad. He says “we have the best of both worlds-we get the details right(Japanese) & technical (German). He’s right! Both are super successful.

I’ll send you a private message tmr. Want to show you a few things.

Pleasure to meet you

my friend in Osaka told me a couple weeks ago that in April the boarders would open. But lots has changed in the last couple weeks. For Americans it may be longer. It’s horrible not to be able to travel. In the last 2 years this the least I’ve travelled in my life. (I don’t count domestic trips)

Cool. I think the Azb people I hooked up with when I was there took me to that pool room and we played for a good while.

Monchiwai and victorL. Maybe I will look them up and check in.

That's so funny, I bet most people don't even think they're brothers haha. Pleasure to meet you too! :)

They've been saying this for years now... This is just your friend being optimistic but there's no official notice from the government right now, I sure hope he's right but it doesn't look like it.

Very nice room, but surprised you didn't get the Predator Arena Lights.

I'm not a fan of the predator brand and I avoid buying their products when I can. In my opinion, they're the "Apple" of the pool world, not a fan of Apple either :) This light does the job and costs a whopping $1000 less.
