My lathe and everything with it is up for grabs

If you will ship it to Canada, I will take it Tom.
Thanks.
Sorry to hear about the alergies.
I was hoping to see some of your handy work in the near future.
Terry.
PS - I mean that of you are going to unload it for that price.
I must be crazy this morning to think that.

This is the first time I ever seen any close ups of this machine - the manufacturers pics is for sure not there to motivate to buy one since you could hardly judge how this works....
The machine looks good but could some one which has used/own this help me out :

- Is the carriage running on linear rails or is this just a tight fit with brass bushings ? Is the same used on the headstock?

- Tool holder - what is that - it looks like you have to fixate the tool in some form of proprietary holder. Could you update to a quick change tool post ?

- As far as I understand this machine - you could remove the inner part of what is the headstock and then mount a pin drive to use during tapering. Is this a correct observation ?

- Is the headstock chuck a collet chuck or how does this work? Single ball bearing ? In case I guess this solution gives better TIR then the soft jaw alu chucks on others ?

- Tapperbar - is this a fixed tapper decided by the manufacturer ? I can see there is milled grooves in what I think is the tapper bar - some long and some short which I guess could be for V milling ? I'm not sure why the short ones are located at the far end though :scratchhead:

Nice looking machine - I'm interested if I understand how it all works :o

That's a great deal to someone.
Sorry that it was a short run Tom.

It was a good deal until the price was doubled to $3k and a BIN of $4.5k I was interested before but not at that price... rather buy it new and spend the extra $$ on the woods and pins I prefer.

Wish you the best of luck with the sale and retirement

Same here. Looked at the auction once and had one price. Couple minutes later looked again and has a new price. Oh, well.

Looking at Everything that goes with it , I don't think its a bad price . GL Jim:thumbup:

You seemed very excited. Sorry about your allergies.

Could you only do shaft repairs? Competent repairmen stay busy in a good market.
