What does the cue look like?

A basic description will suffice.

<~~~~~~interested

the szamboti is a 4 point cue with purple, green, and natural colors
with notched abalone diamonds and dots with a shade of green that compliments the
green veneer and the Gus green spot linen that so many of the traditional great cue makers used

the ring above the wrap features a series of abalone dots of various sizes

dots and diamonds are in the points in the traditionl pattern of Balabuska and
Gus Szamboti

The butt has tasteful dots and diamonds filling the area and providing the
distinctive style that leaves one knowing he is holding a SZAMBOTI

in fact the name SZAMBOTI is carefully placed in the butt cap telling all the world
exactly what it is,

Even the name is a nice and extra touch that graced only a very few Gus Szamboti cues
and is not a standard on Barry Szamboti

I have had a ton of the finest cues ever made go through my hands, and it is a standard family tradition to have the "Box Opening Ceremony"

When we opened the box and removed the Szamboti,June,my wife said,"You have had so many beautiful cues come through here, but this simple beauty of a Szamboti ,is still my favorite"

What would a collection of fine cues be without a Szamboti?

Personally I would of been disappointed if there were pics posted on the first post.
It would of been out of character for Dean, and possibly even a conflict of interest...:)
Sounds like a nice cue, congrats

Chris,

Sounds like this cue may have your number on it. IIRC, these are your veneers.

I love my Gus/Barry cue so much that I only own one. What more could I want in a cue?

Dean, You might be the greatest salesman on AZ. Sells a ton of cues with no pictures and just his phone number. Were you in sales before getting into the cue game?

Now let me tell you folks the REAL truth about Szamboti cues...
Dean is not accurate in any of his accounts, not even close. Don't believe
a word he's said about the Szamboti. Not one word...
Multiply what he's said by 10, and then, and only then, will you have a better
understanding of what a Szamboti is truly about. Dean has down played the
significance of a Szamboti. They are at the top of the cue food chain.
Second to none...
Seriously folks, like I've really stated anything a true cue enthusiast doesn't
already know. Dean...you lucky son of a gun...congratulations on owning
what is...in my mind, the pinnacle of cue collecting! Well done Sir!

That is one of the sweetest looking Szamboti i've seen. Not in a super fancy crazy inlay kind of sweet, but a subtle classic with loads of style kind of sweet. It's just way handsome....

That is the sweetest cue I have ever seen! If I win that $550 million powerball you"ll be the first one I call! :grin-square:

John Nemic took the pictures over here at my house
his hand was not steady and the pictures are not so hot

the glare and the somewhat distorted images do not accurately reflect the cue.the cue is dead nut perfect szamboti

the case is a very limited John Barton rendition of the Paul Newman "hustler movie case"

i have 2 of these cases for $500 each
one is a more natural leather color

as long as i have been doing without pictures, you guys have every right to expect
better ,John does better and wanted to come get the cue to retake the pictures
but i said maybe later

please call for price on szamboti if you are interested

it is a bit pricey, but not even close to overpriced

I was thinking the same thing. Somehow Dean sells cues fairly easily without any pictures and I don't know of another person who can consistently do it. Dean has a master salesman's touch for sure. By the way your Samzboti cue sounds like a real beauty!
