My New Brunswick GCI 1963 pictures!

Beautiful table for the age. I wish I aged as well. The person doing the table should also be proud. it looks great.

Nice table. Looks like the one I just bought. Cant wait to pick it up this weekend :D

I'll be sure to post pics of the before and after. I was planning on buffing the trim and corners out with my high speed buffer.

Nice. I wanna see those pictures! I plan on buffing out the pocket castings as soon as I get the Autosol Metal Polish that someone reccommended. They only thing I had to paint was the ball box. Everything else I can just clean and polish.

Very nice Monte!!!

You find the best fricken' tables.......

+1

Two great classic tables. All you need is a beer tap and a pizza oven and you could start a room. :)

This GC1 is a beaut and sure will make the departure of the Anniversary a little less agonizing.

I'll be sure to post pre-install pics sometime sunday after I pick up my GC 1 :D

Is it true, you can polish aluminum to the shine of a chrome finish, but it doesn't last long?

It's an ongoing maintenance job to keep aluminum shiny. Still, I've seen aluminum hold its shine for several months. The product I use is Master Formula Metal Gloss and Master Formula Sealer Gloss.

www.metalgloss.com Part #7003 & 7004

I pass through your area occasionally. PM me if you're interested in trying a sample of this stuff. I'm not affiliated with this company. I just happen to use it on my cars and like the way it works.

I'd also look for an original wall rack. They came with matching orange or blue backing. I had a couple GC I's and II's in my room and also acquired the wall racks. They were by far the best commercial wall racks Brunswick ever made. They had the rubber worms at the tops, you can still find these racks in the Chicago area, you might call Palace Billiards (John Abruzzo) if anyone can hook you up HE can. I happen to have one crome rake holder if anyone is in need, all the early GC's had one on each side, some table mechanics were known to take one and sell it with another deal.
Orange flint slates, thick wood poplar slate frames that took staples well. Best ball counters ever made, great barrel hole pocket irons. Brunswick put em in most every midwest state college in the 60's. When I was restoring my tables the smell reminded me of my childhood, and I wondered if I ever actually played on that table as I was restoring it, the smell of the cigarette smoke that came off from the belly of the table was like a perfume of memories.
