I got my Hoppe Kikel I was waiting from Mr. Kikel this week. It is a real dandy, and it is my design.

I did a little different on the Hoppe ring that seems like it worked out really neat.

Whatcha think?

That's different but I like it. I'm definitely going to have to make a trip to Paducah and take you up on the offer to play some. I would just love to check out your cues.

The cue came out great Ken! Is it Brazilian on Brazilian?

Nope, African Blackwood on African Blackwood. I originally wanted ebony on ebony and wanted lots of "wood grains". Mr. Kikel suggested this wood as it would have character but still be dark like ebony.

Thanks for the suggestion of cuemaker, the cue plays amazing. The shaftwood has got to be 20gpi. The shafts weigh 4.3 each and the butt is an even 15.0 oz. I asked him to target it at 19.25 overall.

Kikel Hoppe

Terrific looking Hoppe.
Dave Kikel did a fine job on this cue, and your choices on the design and materials were very well done.

I like how you took the veneers and placed them above the ivory band on the the butt. How long was the wait to get one of his cues?

Like this one a lot, Ken. Great veneer colors, look cool at the Hoppe ring, and African Blackwood is a real nice tone wood. Congrats!

very nice i wish i had one,i bought several of his cues and the play was superb.if i get another one i want this style
