My New JW Petree cue

GoTulane

Shizzle-rific
I just picked this up, and it is a great cue. Forearm built by our own ScottR, and the cue built by JW Petree. And this cue hits even better than it looks. Glad I picked it up. Joint is ivory sleeved, and hoppe ring is ivory. 3 shafts with matching ringwork - one being an OB-1. Shot with the cue last night, and it has a nice feel to it - very happy!!! The veneers are just amazing, and really has that Flame look. If you are lucky enough to be able to pick up a Petree cue - grab it up!!!!

I was pleasantly surprised, because the pictures do not do this cue justice - and was just refinished by Petree, and a smooth leather wrap added.

So what do you think of this beauty?

I used to have a JWP purpleheart snealy that played great. I'm sure your plays just as good.

Congrats on your pickup

I'm digging this style. A full splice wrapless Ebony on Ebony flame veneered hoppe ivory cue. ;)

If you ever feel like parting with it, let me know - this cue was made for me and ScottR talked me out of it soon after I received it from JW.

Wellllll, except for those sloppy veneers/points, it's an ok cue.... Just kidding. :p

I'm very happy that you are pleased with the cue. It was originally made for 1pRoscoe and it turned out so nice that I begged him to let me buy it. I hated parting with it, but things happen and money is needed elsewhere.

Take care and enjoy the cue.

Mike, let me know if you decided to let go of this one:D . Really nice pick up!! Im very happy for you!

Thanks!!

Thanks for all of the great comments. The pictures are great, but still do not do the cue justice. I do not see me selling it anytime soon, since it really has the look I like, but if I do, Roscoe, I will let you know. I understand how money can become tight, and I got a custom coming that I designed, so who knows?
Roscoe - yeah saw your post, and remember when it was lost by the airlines. Can't believe this cue almost didn't make it out - but now it is a beauty to behold. The veneers look like fire so much, that under a bar table in a dark room, it is almost hard to focus on the veneers, without seeing FIRE!!!
Just amazing work, and it hits even better. Can't wait to really get used to it. And I want to see more of ScottR's forearm work - wonder if they all look this amazing!!

Thanks,

Michael
