My New Pool Room

After waiting more than a year to make a decision to get a pool table. I finally bit the bullet. Having only room for a 7 footer, I purchased a New Diamond Pro Am pool table 7 foot. Completely drywalling, painting, new molding, and a new floor.
The project took about 3 weeks, and countless trips to Lowes, and Home Depot. I am very happy with the end result, and the Pro Am is an absolute dream to shoot on.
I thought I would post a few pic's showing the room, as I am kinda of proud..................Charlie D

Looks like a labor of love. The room looks terrific. Now sit back and enjoy shooting pool on a great table - you've earned it.
 
Very nice workmanship bud. Have fun playing in it.
I only have room for a 7 footer as well so this gives me some hope.
 
Charlie, Chrysler's must be doing pretty good now, selling a lot of those Rams, or did you have to get rid of your bike. How are you doing, have not heard from you in awhile, are you still playing 1 pocket with Mike and the boys. Tom
 
looks great! just wondering, how much did the diamond pro-am cost (including shipping/installation/etc)?

Tom, Good to hear from you. I've been laid off for 6 weeks, but got called back to work tomorrow. I still have the bike, in fact took a ride through the south, Memphis, Jackson Ms, New Orleans, Athens Ga, and Myrtle Beach Sc. Left for the ride on May 2nd. Met some AZers, Big Truck, Mike Janis. My Wife passed awayed in December. As far as the 1 pocket with Mike , I see him once in a while, When I do see him, we have a shot of Kentucky's Finest Bourbon. Take care my friend! When you come back up north give me a call.......Charlie D
 
Thanks to all for the compliments. The end result was worth the hassle of buying and returning stuff that was either wrong size, or or just didnt look right. No I don't have a dehumidifier. Do you think I need one? Thanks......Charlie D

It's probably not too humid in there, but a humidifier is a wonderful tool just to be certain you're maintaining a consistent level of humidity in the room. In my opinion, you can survive without one, but if you spend a few dollars on one, and empty it every couple days, you'll never have to worry about humidity fluctuations affecting the table.

My advice: first, spend $6 on a room thermometer with a humidity gauge on it, (like this one - http://www.google.com/products/cata...og_result&ct=result&resnum=1&ved=0CCgQ8wIwAA#) that way you'll know if it's worthwhile to get the humidifier in the first place. If the room is sitting around 30% humidity, then don't even bother. Anything above the 50-55% mark would send me back to Lowe's one last time.
