My New Rusty Melton 2x4 Tooled Case....

Will, thank you for the kind words and your business! It was a pleasure to talk to you last night. I'm just sorry that I didn't get some better pictures before I shipped it. Thanks everyone for your nice comments, I really appreciate them.

What can i say, nothing more.
Rusty´s cases are amazing for sure, and they are getting better and better
John Barton and Mr.Justis have a new bizz competitor for sure, and it looks like the tooling is as deep as the tooling on the Justis / Ross cases.
I love it for sure and hope to get one of these in the future
Congrats Will, but don´t forget to take your Searing with you to Valley Forge - i wanna try it
Erich

No doubt Erich. Rusty's work has turned a corner this past year and gone from nice to amazing. He improves with each case and it's a joy to watch.

You can bet I am taking notes. :-)

Great case Will!

Nice job Rusty.

that a really nice case, will!

these must be mr meltons pics!?
sure wish you would get a digital cam, and get into taking pics of your cues,
so we could see more of what you have managed to pick up!
maybe if you're nice to the mrs., she will get you one for christmas!! ; )
heck, i'll get ya one if you post more cue pics! ha!

hope your thanksgiving went well with the family!

Jeff

How about just a scan of Will's inventory list? I don't think its the lack of equipment that keeps Will from just showing everything, I think it is preference. I know you've changed things considerably lately, but, speaking of collection pics, how about yours?

Rusty

Great case. Can you share an estimate of man hours in the tooling?

Thanks

Kevin

100+ hours!!!! Wow!! Rusty.......its a good job you like making cases cause it will never be a lucrative business! Or your cases would need to be $5000 each....just to get your time back!

Much respect once again.

Well said! I was doing similar calculation and man, Rusty is really making cases out of passion! I salute this guy!

Kevin,
There are somewhere around 70+ hours in the tooling and around 100+ hours total in the case and the pouch I built to go with it.
Thanks John for the compliment, I appreciate it!

Rusty

I'm sure that when you are through you feel as though your work represents part of you and that's a great feeling.

Kevin
preference for hiding them until an icc show! ; )~
mine? well, maybe if you hung around the cue gallery a little, instead of slumming in the 'for sale' section, you would've seen some!? he he! 1 2 3 4 5 6

that is super work on the case rusty!!

Whoa dude. I particularly like the for Miz Searing

Those are nice.

Kevin

PS That Searing is REALLY nice.

PSS The "For Sale" section is really like the temple before Jesus threw the merchants out and I'm ashamed to have hung out there in the past. My resolution for the future is to never go in there again (or stay out until I have something to sell, whichever comes first).

Can someone send me to a web page where I can see how Rusty does this tooling? Is he pounding the leather down with a hammer and some type of tools?

Tooooo many flowers!

My fourth Rusty Melton case is on its way to me right now. Rusty just sent me a few pictures of this latest one, and I am sharing the pictures he took before he sent the case to me.

It goes without saying how much I enjoy his cases. Just look at the pictures. I give my highest recommendation to Rusty on his quality of work and customer service. Topflight in every way!
