I pm'ed him earlier today with a nice message and his response wasn't until tonite, and it was almost a carbon copy of what ** had sent me awhile ago that, about 6 months ago, including 3 exclaimation points at the end.
In the show "myth Busters" they have a saying.....'BUSTED'

because this was ****'s last gasp effort to advertise before the Bann, and he's always liked the main forum to do it in

How can that be a new cue? It's got a huge chip in the butt and that is not a new shaft unless the pic is bad it has blueing and obvious signs of serious use.

Oringinally I did not pay much attention to the writing style of the original poster of this thread, and was inclined to just give the benefit of the doubt that it was a legitimate post. I admit when I'm wrong, and I was probably wrong.

Since then I went back and read all of posts from "thekid77" and payed attention to the writing style, grammar, puctuation etc, and the similarities are just way too many to be coincidence. A whole bunch of the similarities have already been listed in this thread, and I found quite a few more as I read.

One of them is thekid77's penchant for ending posts with a variation of "Have a good night" or something similar, same as Wheat would often do. I found several other even better new similarities as well, but I didn't bother to write them down and can't think of them at the moment.

Here is something else to consider. Check out this post from Eddie at 5:36 am cst in the "Tilt" thread that was going on at the same time. http://forums.azbilliards.com/showthread.php?p=1409647#post1409647

Notice his desperation to shift the attention away from his character and his mistakes, and onto how he builds a "hell of a cue at a reasonable price," and onto how much his customers "appreciate" him.

Could it really be just another coincidence that only 19 minutes later we have this thread started by one of Wheat's "appreciative" customers to tell us about the "high level of quality in a very affordable package" that he received from Mr Wheat?

Busted. Again.

What's really sad is that ED here couldn't even find a new cue laying around to post pictures of. Makes me wonder if he really makes cues at all.

So in a week, you broke a butt cap, and made the shaft look like it
was 3 years old.
NO one gets a brand new cue and treats it that bad in a week.

People clean the shafts at the end of play, half way thru a game.
LOL, wipe down the whole cue. OMG
People are just crazy with new cues, we treat them like babies.

So I doubt that this is a new cue in the past year.

I think you need a time out for telling us this whopper.

Please don't send special agent tracey to my house, unless she

If U click on Eddies Myspace profile, U can find Tracy as 1 of his "friends". Eddie probably neva met Tracy in person :rolleyes: :sorry: :embarrassed2:

OK ... now even I am starting to think something is fishy here.

If I were a fairly new person here and got the response you guys gave thekid77 my "normal" response would be to tell all of you to go pound sand and who needs you anyway.
I think most others would respond in that way also.
However, thekid77 is all nicey nice about it and has responded much like Eddie Wheat has in the past.

Sure glad the rest of you guys are alert to these things as I was ready to accept the guy at face value.
And I admit it ... I gave him a greenie :frown:

Why am I always so slow to catch on about this stuff?
