My son won back-to-back Colorado Junior 9 Ball Titles!

I was, but my wife and I left him and his sister back in colorado, and I took a job in Germany.

I had been playing mostly barbox pool in the Denver area, but had a good streak last year when I was playing more and placed top 4 in every big tournament I played in for like 3-4 months... Our AA/AAA team placed 3rd I think in the VNEA Regional Team Championships around that time, too. Along with a top-32 finish in National BCA Team 8 ball...

Won't be there to try to improve on those results, but on a positive note.. There are no bartables in Germany... AWLLLL 9 footers, baby!

I am going to try to prepare and go to DCC 2018... Hope to see you there, Easy...

I can barely get the time to attend a local Saturday night tournament, so Derby is nowhere near my radar. Been there only once, could take it or leave it.

Very nice. I'm having a hard time keeping my 12 year old interested in the game at all. Not sure if that's a good thing or a bad thing. I'm always surprised how the pool bug can bite some and not others.

Congrats to you and him. I wish my son would take an interest in pool. When he was 3 and four he would stand on a box and shoot some balls that was set up close to the hole. He could stroke the cue pretty straight at 3 and I think he would have done well if he stuck with it. Now he doesn't want to play at all.

Congrats!

Could be the mojo of the case given to him by an undercover hustler.;)

Congrats to Kyle. Defending a championship is tough to do. I saw a little of the final set and both played well, but Kyle's opponent had a problem finishing very good runouts. Kyle stood up tall and finished strong.

Have you found any of the private billiard clubs there? When I was there 01-04 at Spangdhalem, I played on PBC Bitburg. That is their version of league. They play 8, 9, and straight pool. Lots of Solid Players to be found.

I have found a private club... B.V. Schierstein.. For 30 Euro a month, I get my own key and can play at any hour of the day or night I want. Good parking, and some of the best players in the area to spar against.. :-D

Congrats to the both of you!

I must admit, it would be a lot of fun to be able to teach someone that I knew and then have that person really do well in competition.

Man... being as I am a "C" player, whaddaya think I can get as a handicap? Whatever he offers, I'll take it!!!
