My take on the IPT and conversation with Harry Platis

.

Yep, that does fit.

A chubby Napoleon.

Too much of that All Natural food.

As for me I would love for you to keep on posting. I love gossip. You do know that men are worse gossips than women.

I just don't think it would be wise for you to post stuff about a possible lawsuit on a message board. It may come back to haunt you in court as a printed document. And of course you may have your own home computer confiscated, although highly unlikely, they have done that in the State of Illinois offices in Downtown Chicago because of a complaint filed by my stepdaughter over her firing. Heads will roll there.

Keep in mind that the delete feature does not remove data.

Pass it by your attorney.

Jake,

Everything Linda has posted here would only work in her favor in a court of law. She has shown a pattern of being first a supporter of KT and the IPT, but over a period of time, beginning to doubt his sincerity.

There has been a consistency to her posts from day one, and a gradual evolution in her thinking, that is immortalized right here.

Linda, I'm agreeing with Jake 100%. What does that tell you?:)

Out of 200 players of course someone is going to contact an attorney. They've assumed this already. Nothing posted here is going to worry them. Information regarding these matters should be shared on a need to know basis only!

Good luck

My phone call confirmed all that Linda has said in her 2nd post. The only thing new that I have to add is that the employee's were sent an email today telling them that they'll find out at 2:00 PM Chicago time tomorrow which staff members are going to be laid off.

It's quite possible that a few of them will be singing like birds tomorrow so we might actually find out the truth to some things as opposed to the gibberish KT has given to date.

I've also been able to confirm that what Eydie posted on Tue is the truth (not that I doubted it but the info was offered up to me) as opposed to the complete opposite statement KT put out on Tue. and that MS has been repeating.

Any Volunteers ?

Munch Munch Mun....GACK!! (Thump)

Anyway, I guess we will need to wait another 24 hours too see what the rat, eh KT, will do?

I suppose he will tell that the deal with HO didn't work out, and that they need to "move" the upcoming events to June 2007. Because of this critical situation they can't pay the checks right now, but they are working with other major companies, and when they close a deal they can start the tournaments again and of course pay the checks. Please be patient!

With this, he will might get someone to still believe, hope and wait, and people will continue to pay in qualifiers for the event in June!!!

I think he could be a rat enough to try that...

No problem Dougie boy. This word is often used in courts of law. Actual definition is "to be made famous forever". So when important statements are referred to, if it can be shown when they were recorded somewhere, they are then considered "immortalized", from that point on.

This could also refer to statements made on the IPT website or any tapes of KT speeches where he makes certain promises. You got the tape, then it's immortalized. And KT knows this to I'm sure. Of course, he's been in bigger jams then this one. Probably no prison time here, just civil action. Light weight for him.

I got this email from Deno just hours after I send mine:

So the question is, would anyone help me create some questions to Deno? After all he has promised to answer me :D

FYI: I didn't promote the qualifiers at the championship...

Hi Deno,

This weekend we are host for the Norwegian 9-ball Championship, with 120
participants.

With the posters and the promocode we have recently received it would be
nice to advertise for the upcoming qualifers, but I would just like to
inform you that I do not feel comfortable with advertising for it at the
moment.

The first tournament in Norway attracted 9 Norwegians, and that was
because I was calling about 30 players in Norway several times, pushing
them to play.

I believe I can get more players to play the next qualifiers too, but, I
hope you understand that I can not ask friends to put up maybe more than a monthly salary to try to qualify, when I have a lot of other friends in Europe still waiting to get paid for previous events.

I am not writing because I expect to receive an explanation, I just wanted
to inform you about how I feel. I am probably one of the biggest fan of
the IPT, and I just can't wait for the players to receive their checks.

PS: The check-issue is no longer just an issue on the forum of AZB, but
the last days it has been hot discussions on forums in Finland, Sweden,
Germany, Holland and the UK... This will for sure affect the amount of
entries on the qualifiers...

However, I hope, and honestly believe, everything works out nice, and that I will get the oppurtunity to meet you and the IPT in Las Vegas in
December!

Best wishes,

Roy Steffensen

Hi Roy,

Thank you for your email. I understand your position and respect whatever
decision you will make. As far as the payouts go, keep in mind it takes many other sports several weeks to issue checks. Sports such as golf, autoracing, etc. can take 3-5 weeks to issue checks. It took more than 3 weeks after the North American Open to issue checks, and we are not yet at the 3 week period for this tournament. Checks will start going out shortly. If you have any further questions about it I would be happy to answer them by email or by telephone.

Best regards,
Deno

BURP ! Excuuuuuuse ME.

( I'm getting drunk. I'm drinking Jack Daniels on the rocks with large cans of Milwaulkee Light on the side. I'm using the 'self defense' tactic of drinking them before they fall from the sky and crush me. I'm depressed )

I said two days ago that I was sick of this stuff and that if something ground breaking happend, give me a call. Otherwise I was done fooling with all of this for awhile. I'm simply disgusted and burned out. Well... I got a phone call last night telling me that someone else wanted me to call them, that they had some IPT updates from a staff member. I haven't had a chance to call that person but some of what was relayed to me was that most of the staff are being laid off. Linda's post confirmed that.

Last night the Q & A section was still up and there were roughly 8 to 10 qualifiers listed for this wkend. The Q & A is gone, the qualifiers are down to three, and all the contact emails have been taken down with the exception of Deno's.

If I'm given anything different than this or can further confirm what Eydie or Linda has said, then I'll post it. Otherwise I'll go crawl back under my rock and take a break from the whole mess.

This is called destroying the evidence. Hopefully people have preserved all this while it was up.

Thanks for sharing that Roy, the amazing thing is that was dated more than 3 weeks ago :(

If you go legal all this information will be available via discovery, unless of course he completely destroys it.

However its probably already been cached on the web archive or other sites.

See what I mean about Deno. Total BS! I have a friend who plays the PGA tour (and has off and on for over ten years). If they finish in the money, they can pick up a check on Sunday, or as most prefer, the money is wired to their bank on Monday (the next day!). Hello Deno!

Don't waste your three questions as I have been accused of doing... OK ?
