MY VARNEY NIGHTMARE unbelievable

Straight from the horse's mouth !

And I did exactly as I said I would.....

First off..... The system Moderaters asked Kevin NOT to respond to these threads and posts for obvious reasons !!!!!

I and Kevin talked for about 36 min. on the phone..... He assures you guys that EVERYTHING is fine !

He is hard at work... he has about 200 orders pending.... 30-40 cues in their final pass stage and about 20 orders ahead of CINCYMAN !!!

Kevin said he will not expedite CINCYMAN's order ahead of the other 20 becasue it's not fair to them..... He is under an extreme amount of pressure and since this is his only source of income as well as being a family man with a 5 month old child.. he has to play father,husband and cuemaker at the same time....

Yes he's overworked and overwhelmed with orders and as most of you know by now..... he's NOT taking anymore orders anytime soon !!!

He is the only laborer in his shop so it's a one-man operation and as a custom cuemaker I can relate to how exhausting that can be...thank god I'm NOT a family man or I would never get any work done in a REASONABLE amount of time !!!

Kevin asked me to assure you that CINCYMAN'S cue will be done shortly and he will be very impressed and happy with the results... He is also giving extra little additions "rings etc." to most of the pending orders at no charge just to show his appreciation for the unavoidable delays !!!

After talking with him for that length of time, in my very honest opinion is this:

Kevin is very overworked and under alot of family stress and is completely exhausted and I feel by his tone of voice and sincerety that all of you will get your cues with satisfactory craftsmanship in the near future, he did not in any way shape or form indicate that he's trying to screw anyone over... he just bit off a little more than he could chew.. and that can happen to anyone of us cuemakers in this market at any given time !

Once again I'm NOT siding with Kevin or any of you.. I am NEUTRAL in this matter....and I do NOT wish to become a liasion between you at all !!!!

I simply offered my help try to rectify this out of control issue and restore a little normality back into the world of AZ Billiards.......

I sincerely hope this brings a little peace of mind to the subject at hand and will avoid possible unneccessary legal procedures and/or lynching !!!

If he still, to date, has 20 orders ahead of cincy why did he tell him originally that it would be completed in 60 days? Sounds like he was eager to make a sale so he lied...not saying that he did mind you, thats just what it sounds like.

You are correct. He had to have lied to give out a 60 day lead time with 20 orders ahead of him (had to have been more at the time). So KV is caught in ANOTHER LIE. I'm with manwon on this, why does this site continue to let KV post and get business from this site all the while he is screwing them over?

He is going to ship CINCYMAN's cue to him when finished and he said "shortly" !!!

He did NOT state anything about refunds at all.. so I do NOT know exactly what all that entails... but I can tell you that Kevin is very aware of ALL the posts !!!

Also just to be clear.... he's working on the other 20 at the same time so it's not like he's having to build each one seperately !!!

everybody loves a train wreck, so I guess I'm guilty, too. otherwise I would not have read the, now 18 pages of this _________ (fill in your own word).

there is a problem with the 200 pending orders. nobody in their right mind would take orders for 200 cues if he only is a one man shop. not very realistic people ! if there are buyers waiting for those 200 orders, I hope their grandchildren like pool because they will possibly get the promised cue by the third generation.

E Wheat only has Varney's word by phone and I believe the story that was relayed by a third party is just that: A STORY !

I have a nephew suffering from severe depression and lying is one of the defense mechanisms that he uses to make his world more "real" to him. Grandiose feelings and telling stories about things that never happened, make up the days of a severely depressed person.

even a cue assembler would have a hard time with a 200 cue order. one of Varney's short-time experience would have tough time assembling 50 cues. either the number of cues ordered is a lie or he is a deluded man who thinks he can work miracles. (and wakes up every day more deluded about his ability to produce cues.

JMHO.....let the red rep come from his 3 supporters !

Let me assure of of something right now !!!!

Everything I stated in that "story" is 100% accurate on my part !!!!

I will put my life, my 16yr old daughter's life, my 2 cats and my grandma on that as well as all my cuemaking equipment and that includes my 15000.00 CNC mill that I relayed everything he asked me too !

I don't need this crap from you... I went out of my way to help and this is what I get !!!!

You are NOT even a factor in the equation and you have the audassity to accuse me of embellishing and insulting my integrety !!!

I simply conveyed Kevin Varney's sentiments and I'll be the first to tell you it's not exactly the quoted context but it is 100% accurate as far his facts and his intentions and general responses to my questions !!!

I cannot speak nor vouche' for him I'm only delivering a message !!!

So DON"T crucify me for doing something you couldn't or wouldn't do !!!

I'm not looking for thankyou's or a friggin' pat on the back... I just wanted to help and I DID !

I believe what you are trying to do is admirable but let's not turn this into a "poor Varney" thread and try to keep the focus where it belongs. On the customers who have been lied to and still haven't received the goods they paid for.

Here's how you can help Eddie:

Take a drive down to NC or w/e Varney lives. Meet up with him, have some coffee, a nice meal...then google up the nearest psychiatric facility and check yourselves both in.

Come on Roger, thats kinda harsh, give Eddie a break he hasn't screwed anyone here yet to my knowledge, we all have interesting personalities, can't we all just get along. If Black Jack says Eddie is straight up, that should be good enough.

I would be much more impressed if you'd have put up your cuemaking equiptment, your CNC mill and YOUR life.

I don't want to take sides and I'm not upholding Kevin for what he did either... I simply tried to offer some type of resolution and positive feedback that was desperatly needed before something very bad happened !!!

My integrety is NOT in question here KEVIN VARNEY's is !!!

I am all for keeping focus on the issue at hand so please do NOT make me a focal point and/or a target for treying to help everyone out !

Kevin's back log may be very great you never know, but I think most of his back log can be taken care of with noting more than a good laxative. It is very clear that Kevin's biggest problem is constipation which certainly makes him full of shit!!!!!!!:dance:

i have a cue on order from Kevin which i still haven't recieved. yes i'm a bit annoyed about it but it's just life. personally i'm very happy with my current cue which is why i'm not so bothered about the long wait time but that's just me.

i've never spoke to Kevin on the phone or anything, but from many pm's and his forum posts, and a big favour he did me the once as well regarding a repair, i have to say i don't believe he's trying to rip anybody off.

imo he just bit off more than he can chew (a lot more), and all he can do now is work his ass off to rectify the situation. nothing else he can do.

as to why he hasn't responded to this thread, my opinion is this. no matter what he says he will get flamed for it, let's be honest here. best just buckle down and keep working.

i've just come through an extremely stressful period of my life and maybe that's why i'm being more philosophical about it. i'd bet my life on it the man is under immense stress at the moment and regardless of whether it's self inflicted or not, it's not nice, and i know what he's going through.

and buddha162 - please enlighten me, what exactly is your business in this thread? you always seem to be in every varney thread stirring.
