My Varney Nightmare

Since I got the last cue from him,(last Thurs.) ask him why he didn't even sign my J/B.I think I know! I have a lot more to say about this,short on time now.....

although I was never interested on his cues ever since. I think the only specialty he has anyway is to (See below for Mr. KV to do list from his vault)


buy 200 house cues for 9.99 each with free shipping
cut it in 3 pieces and put a SS, what 3/8x10 pin>?
then put a brown phenolic collars on the cue
then re-do a little coating finish
and then my favorite part, SELL IT FOR $300.00 each :yikes: :yikes: :thumbup2: :thumbup2:

I always wondered why the bottom points have a huge flat area. Guess its cause he is using 9 dollar bar cues for his blanks. lol

I think he finally got himself in so deep that his trusty followers are scared to enter these threads.

I have been leary of anything involving Kevin ever since he was caught in that self promoting lie about Alison and the other women pros.

this place is getting brutal :rolleyes:
i've had nightmares about being the subject of an "i hate brent" thread
just this past week, i'm about to finish up a cue for a guy here on az, should have been done months ago actually
butt was done, except for final buff
shaft was finished sprayed, needed to sand & buff
and low and behold, i put in in the lathe and my heart sank
shaft went bonkers on me
only the second time i had that happen, prolly won't be the last, but still very disheartening
so, i spent part of my sunday making another

As long as you don't buy $8 dollar Chinese house cues, put about 1.5 hours into them and sell them here on AZ for $300 +, you need not to worry.:thumbup: It's that simple.
If you get behind schedule, call your customers and let them know. We all know chit happens (wood moves). You take money and don't deliver or keep in touch, you should have a problem.
What I don't understand is this; I saw the cues he posted for sale on Az. I knew exactly what they were from the pictures. I use to re tip cues for a local pool hall. $5 a tip, owner supplied the tip. I put a ferrule on one and charged the guy $10 for the job. End of work guys, he could buy new cues for $8 each. Of course the tips came off after a week and they made good boomerangs after a couple of months. He would just order 20 more for $160. Economics I recon.
Personally I hope everything works out for all parties involved. Unfortunately, the ball is in Varneys court.

PS: I know a maker of a very popular Jump/Break cue that paid $20 for them and sold them all day long for $350. It is a cut throat business climate out there.

Trust me buddy you dont have to worry about that. You communicate and stay in touch, and i know you, if you would f%^k it up you would simply say hey i f&*$ed up:thumbup: . Thats why their will never be a I hate BHQ thread because you are a stand up guy. I also just dont jump at the oppurtunity to start a thread like this, i need to be provoked and when i am blatantly lied to ,,, it provokes me and still 9 months later than it shoud have:eek: .

So where the **** is KV. You would think he would at least be man enough to come out here and give his side of the story, or try to make things right with Cincy. WTF. He wont even come out and say anything. That is really pathetic, his actions, his cues, and his character, all pathetic. COME OUT COME OUT WHEREVER YOU ARE KV.
 
To be quite honest...I'm sick of these threads. If people want to keep posting this stuff until one of the threads reaches 42,000 posts...so be it. But the fact that there constantly has to be an " 'F' Varney" thread every goddam day of the year...gets old. Furthermore...I don't feel sorry for a single one of you that has read all these bad posts...and still gone ahead with an order. There's more than enough bad pub about this guy that you should know better. We finally found a corner where the raffles can stand on their own with their backs turned to the center of the room...I wish we could do the same for *****ing, whining, and moaning about crap like this. If this was an original idea, concept, or issue...I could care less. But this is just ridiculous.

Are you some kind of moron? Did you read the whole thread? Cincy ordered his cue almost a year ago before everything came to a head within the last two months or so with Varney. All of Kevin's BS is finally catching up with him and there seems to be lots of it. Just because you are sick of seeing it doesn't mean people shouldn't post about it. It means that you should not click on the thread and move on.
It is kind of funny that you come on this thread and *****, whine and moan about *****ing, whining and moaning. Fool.

Cincy - I hope that Kevin steps up to the plate and does the right thing finally.

WADR these deals were consumated before KV's MO was common knowledge.

He and we now are reaping what's been sown by him and his crew of which some may be multiple KV usernames.

Time will tell
 
Wow! It was just a short while ago that I read a thread started by another disgruntled Varney customer. This guy couldn't reach Varney despite numerous efforts and avenues of communication. Then a friend of Varney's became an intermediary, claiming Varney's computer was down, or some weak sounding excuse like that. I said to myself that if I had taken other peoples' money and was about a year delinquent in delivery, I'd sure as hell stay in touch - including using my friend's computer, if necessary, and replying to my customer's Emails personally. The next thing I knew, Varney was all over the forums posting like crazy and everything was apparently hunky-dory. It seemed very bizarre to me that he was so readily taken back into the fold after wronging forum members. I'll be curious to see if this thread has a similar ending.
 
This thread reminds me of when I hit this big dog that ran out into the road. My car was all smashed up in the front and the dog was dead.
