Yeah, nice PFD Titlist!

I think you did right by not pulling the trigger on the Tad. By the time you had it refinished and put a new Tad shaft on it ($200 from Tad, unless you're big on 12mm shafts), you weren't getting much of a deal. I had the same model, and it hit very solid, but it had the old style "big butt", and was a little short... I thought about it briefly when it was at $515, but at $700...Naah!

Raj is the man. Great guy and I take it he has been showing you guys how to shoot pool? Winning the Masters was a big thing for UK pool. Winning the Mosconi Cup this year is going to be even better, lol! Will I eat my words? We shall see, Europe has a STRONG side this year!

Cheers for info Brett, lol!! I will paint your next Craftsman pink if you like?

....oh and quit it with the knitting jokes people....I like The Diamond....not 'The Knitter'.....actually....it doesn't sound bad, he, he!

OK, Bright Pink (like Barbie) is just fine, but remember (so that I can really show off the work) you must sign it 'pretty in pink, by simon the knitter, for my good friend, Brettielda' if you'll do that, I'll take two! Oh, and one more thing, you must trade with me the orange searing for my new super duper Meucci.. deal? Nice chattin with ya Si.. keep me posted as your cues arrive. You moved both Whites? I still havent photo'd-up some new acquis.'ions,
including that bad boy Franklin I told ya bout.. will shoot over the weekend and fire ya the pictures. Have a good one bud.

Yes Brett, both Whites didn't hang around. One stayed in the UK (makes a change) and I sent one to a family member in Louisiana (Chad Deramus). They were both beautiful. Send pics of everything dude!

I am personally very excited that this thread has taken an ugly turn into the DARK SIDE OF KNITTING!

Now THAT"S a world where strange characters creep through the night, trading and selling black-market yarns, speculating on the true maker of a rare wool scarf, and hoping that the one that they picked up in Trafalgar Square is not a knock-off replica made by Dinky Coomantosa!

We did not know SUSPICION until this moment.
cain, are you a film maker or a screen writer? :p
good to see you posting!

Both

Hey Jeff.

Yeah...you got me...I'm both, in the old tradition of the "auteur" filmmaker.

What I was really doing was trying to get some fat cat collector and brain surgeon to recognize my skills and finance my next feature fiilm.

It's a little ditty I've been working on for a while entitled:

KNITTING WITH MINNESOTA FATS

It's a whole new point of view on his game.

And there's a really exciting twist at the end, where themo-nuclear waste is accidentally spilled on a yarn ball, and it morphs, expands, transmografies and grows into the size of Shea Stadium. Overwhelmed by its own new powers and its innate and grandiose gift for destruction...it rolls all over Manhattan, wreaking utter CHAOS.

But peace, calm and order is restored to the greatest city on earth, when the YARN BALL (who cannot help himself, remember) is tragically brought down and UNRAVELED by a GIANT PIN CUSHION that was crocheted by The Fat Man himself.

What d'ya think?

I think it's got real potential. Could be a classic for our times.

Cain....are you Jeff's brother? Similar humour for sure.

I want a cut for starting the idea:D

2 Questions???

1) Was/Is this cue a Bushka??????

2) Is the forearm a Burton Spain?? I just checked my Burton Spain and it sure looks like a VERY similar forearm.

The forearm is most likely a Spain or Adam. Show more pictures of the cue if you want a guess as to what it is. Are you wanting to sell it?
Be sure and show pictures of the joint seperated.

Hi Chris,

I was just pointing out that my Burton Spain looked very similar to the forearm in question on this thread. My cue is a model 24 which was ordered on Oct. 1982, and delivered on Jan. 1983. The cost was $200 and $30 for the extra shaft. The model 24 came with white, blue, orange, and black veneers.

I love this cue and will most likely never sell it.

Do you still have any BS prongs left in your stash??
