yeah I thought it was a combination of the NAACP and AARP, I dont have a clue what those 2 stand for but I heard of them and when I saw theirs thats what I thought,
I was told from a reliable source they lost 2 partners and the rest went into the PBA or some other start-up bowling league, which sounds more jive than the whole thing did anyways, it sucks. Man it sucks,
I wish I had the kind of business that could utilize a pro-tour and have it break even for me and make the players a decent living, but none of my businesses can utilize that kind of advertizing, Fed-X does it with golf and when I look at my Fed-X bill I see where they get the $$$ to have the Fed-X Cup on Golf and most people who golf have a Fed-x account so it makes sence. I'm a nickle and dimer compaired to Fed-x like .00002385395% their size or something like that actually smaller.
I have been brain storming a way to organize something and as of yet I cant come up with anything, I'm not saying I will, but I AM saying that I have been giving it some thought and how to make it work, Added $$$ tournments are ok but thats not a solution for all the players just a paycheck for a few players now and then, its better than nothing, i'm trying to think wider, i make no promises of anything but I do PROMIS that i'm trying to come up with something, and i have been known to mastermind alternative businesses and thats what a trour is gonna take-something out-side the box. wish me luck.
Believe me if I think i'm close to a concept i'll be the first one to ask questions, not wait to make some announcment, and the $$$ wont be millions to the players from day one, it could grow into that but if I come up with something thats workable on a reasonable level it will take several million to start and then scale it up so the players are well compensated, not advertizing some huge amount of $$$ to attract attention or these days scare off people-rightfully so. the trick is to design a scalable modle that could attract new sponsers outside pool and everytime we sign one on then the prize $$$ goes up, also having open books to the players not public is also necessary-however they have to understand that the people working hte events cant work for free either, so there is a learning proccess for everyone-especially me. just some random thoughts, dont hold me accountable to this just yet, i'm just thinking out loud. or get mad at me i'm learning as I go and think.
