Nearest 9' Diamond Pro Am to Chicago?

lol, That's the kind of distance I was expecting. Probably has something to do with Brunswick having their HQ here.
Anyone know in Indiana maybe?
the table time on that one must be pretty high.

Nah, no pro ams in Grayslake and Tom's rooms do have nice Diamonds, but their not pro ams.

Not sure if Tom Karabatsos has any Diamonds left. He had opened a place in Elgin called On Cue it was a HIGH end restaurant with a pool hall upstairs. Sadly he opened at about the same time the economy went sour which must have been a nightmare for him, he is a really nice guy, and a great pool player. I believe the pool hall is gone completely now, some of his tables went to Hammerheads in St Charles I believe. As to a pro am I know of one in the Chicago burbs in a private home set up by RKC and it is sweet...
Actually the Diamonds are at Hammerheads in West Dundee Il. sorry for the misinformation a friend pointed out my mistake..

Tom had a room (GQ Billiards) just west of the loop and sold it to his sister (I think), but no diamonds. All the tables are Gabriels. 2-3 cushion tables.
Very nice room, but no action to speak of.
There are 14 diamond 7 footers with TIGHT "pro cut" pockets at the Carom Room in Beloit, Wisconson. Its about an hour and a half from Chicago. It also has one Diamond 9' table, but not sure if its a pro-am. Dave is talking about getting 6 more 9' diamonds in there to replace the GC's, but I dont know when he is planning on doing it. Either way, its a GREAT room, great food, great atmosphere, and plenty of action if thats what you are looking for. Good luck with the search.

Hammerheads in Dundee last time I was there had 9" Diamond Smart Tables (one piece slate). There is one in Rockford at Dallas West pool room and one in Beloit at the Carom Room as well.

Dundee, Rockford, Beloit is really about the distance I was expecting for something at least close to a pro am.
