I picked this cue and case at a Pawn Shop in Memphis. The case has a fellini label and the cue is a hoppe style.

Anyone have any idea who made this cue?

I sure hope my $800 for the cue and case wasnt a bad deal.

Nice...research suggestion

It looks like someone put some TLC into that. By the look of the shafts there is a new one with a slightly different insert and whiter wood.
Good luck with the search.

Suggestion:
Perhaps the pawn shop can "Guide" you on finding the original owner. See if they will call the original owner (assuming it wasnt stolen) for you to get specifics if they
kept the information on file.

I had a car dealership contact me on a trade in because the new prospective owner of the car I traded wanted to speak with me.
You never know, it may provide to be useful to try the shop. Legally they couldnt give out my information and had to ask permission for the new owner to call me.
Of course a pawn shop may be totally different.

That is a really nice looking cue. Apparently the pawn shop owner knew it too. Very clean.
Cool buy.
Best of luck with an ID. Seems like a solid purchase to me FWIW...

Looks like a Gus or Barry. Or someone with a similar pedigree.

You would know better than I Joe, but is the bumper on this cue consistent with what Barry/Gus used?

Very cool cue none the less. As I get older I seem to be gravitating towards the simple classic style cues.

The joint wall looks a little thin from the angle however the veneers of black, mahogany, purple and natural are really Szamboti-ish. Hard to tell from the pics...

Maybe a Showman.. who knows. But I think the 800 is not overly a gamble. The case is 350-400 IMHO.

I know that cue. Fantastic pick up. Show us some better detailed pics of you don't mind as that one I believe has never hit AZ.

I bet you do know this cue, it came from Louisville....

Didn't I turn you onto that cue about a year ago? What took you so long to pull the trigger? LOL. The cue does play great and has been in some very capable hands. I hope you play with it like it was meant to be. Best of luck to you.
