Need help on diamondizing my gc3

sorry I just get tired of how people treat each other on the internet. Rkc has a ridiculous amount of knowledge but he always has to put people down. How about saying " I have to disagree with you.. I've diamonized many gc's and they play great and the owners were thrilled with them at a very reasonable cost" That's a respectable post.. not immediately calling someone names because they have a different opinion. When I've posted something in anger I now look at and decide would I talk to someone like this if we were face to face? If the answer is no I retype it. Makes for a happier life.

See post 17#...

Real deal? What does that mean? If you're saying Mark is a great table mechanic, then yes, I agree. Do yourself a favor, check out my Facebook page, Glen Hancock. There, you'll see the whole "Real....kingcobra" deal!

I wouldn't hire you to pick up dogshit in my yard. Your attitude is terrible. Get over yourself.

I honestly would be happy with the GC, as I have had the opportunity to play on both a GC, and Diamond. Diamonds do nothing special for me. JMHO

Yes I know a lot of Big Tournament use the Diamond Tables, but as I don' play in any big tournament, so it is a moot point for me.

Plus if I ever went some place where there were Diamonds, I guess I would just have to adapt to the new plying environment, and deal with the differences.

Well, since I don't pick up dog shit, it's clear you're looking to hire someone that does. So, before the dogs shit gets piled any higher in your yard, I'd suggest you get off your fat ass and get to picking up after your dog, unless you're the kind of dog owner that don't give a shit about stepping in shit, then tracking into your house, but then again...maybe that's just the kind of person you are....LMAO

Come on fellas, the gentleman started a thread asking a simple question, no need to turn it into a bickering match.

Happy holidays everyone, hope you find the info you're looking for OP!

Jerimy Chambers. His rail work is top notch. I had my GC3 set to diamond specs, I spent good money and it plays good. - Not great. It does not play like a diamond.

Before anyone says, "well it wasn't done right" stop. Jerimy easily sits somewhere in the top 3 mechanics in the country and I know he spent a ton of time on my rails. He is a perfectionist. It is just not a diamond. My local room has all blue label diamonds and they play a world different (and imo better, much better).

If I had to do things all over agian I would have waiting until I could just get the diamond or have Mark and Jerimy make the GC3 play like an awesome GC3, but probably go with the Diamond. So,maybe save your money. The pro-cut pockets without the deeper shelf does not substitute for the diamond. I have my pockets pro-cut at 4 3/8 and it plays way easier and bigger then the 4.5 pro cuts on the diamond.

As an aside, when choosing a mechanic, class goes a long way. Just saying

So, you LIKE how I redesigned the blue label Diamonds to play....well, thank you;)

See, what you don't know is that he secretly is mad as hell at me because I'm not the person who worked on his pool table,

And see what you don't realize is it doesnt matter... Your a business man who is probably the best mechanic in pool. Act like it. Who cares how he acts... Worry about your own actions and act like a professional.

Glen does great work. The red label Diamond he fixed here is now the best playing table in Northern California, reputed by several excellent NorCal players that would know. Disregarding what he has to say, or "not looking for your opinion realkingcobra" is a big mistake. Whether or not his demeanor rubs you the wrong way or you disagree with his customer relation skills, his knowledge and authority on pool table workmanship cannot be denied or discounted.

So, what do you think about a GC1 with the same rail specs as a Diamond, as well as a Diamond slate?...hmm because I've done that too, but I'm the ONLY mechanic that has!

Thank you for the RED rep there trob, and the comment you left, that I should be banned for life from AZB because I don't know how to play well with others...LMFAO it's all the people like you that have ran AZB into the ground to the point that many don't post here anymore, and like me, have decided that Facebook is a much better way to connect with people, and people like you....can simply be deleted from ever posting again. You don't know shit about this industry and never will....because the truth is, YOU don't matter. All you are, is a nobody trying to be someone in a place that don't care...about you, as you have NOTHING to bring to the table, as I HAVE countless times for many, many years here on AZB. WHAT have you ever done to try and help this community? ....NOTHING...LOL

Haha I'm not trying to be anything but a guy who uses a forum daily and is tired of Internet tough guys like you disrespecting other members . And my friend you don't matter either. At the end of the day your a pool table mechanic. Your not curing cancer. You'll always be beneath me because you have no idea how to treat other people with respect and civility. Which in the game of life comes ahead of putting cloth on a pool table. Merry Christmas

I certainly have never done that. I'm sure he can take a gc and make it play closer to a diamond then any mechanic in the country. I still stand by my opinion that if you want a diamond buy one ... That's just my opinion. Maybe someone likes the way a gc looks better and wants it to play like a diamond. That I would actually make more sense as to spending the money to change how it plays. I actually like the way gc looks better myself.

What does working on pool tables have to do with curing cancer, or building rockets ships to fly in space, because what's funny to me, is that I don't see people of those professions working on pool tables. Is it possible that maybe it's beyond their abilities to do so? One has nothing to do with the other, you seem to be smart enough to know that, or at least you should be. Internet tough guys are people like you, because all the BS you talk here on AZB you'd never have the balls to say it to my face. I on the other hand, will not be a doormat that guys like you, think you can step all over, then cry about my responding back...calling it disrespecting, and being a bully. Have yourself a Merry Christmas today, I'm still trying to get this last job done so I CAN get home to see my kids!!!

I was not looking for ur opinion realkingcobra

But..... maybe you should be asking him. RKC is the guy who has helped in the design of Diamond tables.
If RKC can't help who's gonna'? Of course if you can do it yourself just take measurements off a Diamond.

This is the best post in the thread by far. YES, RKC knows his shit, prob better than anyone on this site. And has always been helpful when I have a question. But fvck he comes across as a total dick to anyone who doesn't know as much as him.

No, that's not true. Poolhustler, has had a problem with me for a long time because I was not the one that worked on his pool table, so he blames me for how it turned out, and never misses a chance to let me know about it. I've tried to work with him to resolve his problem by letting him know that when I get back to California to do some work, and in his area, I'd fix his problem table for free, as in no charge. But guess what, I'm in California and have been for a while, but because of how he's acted over the last several years, not only will I never work on his pool table to make it play the way he wants it to play, he'll never have enough money to pay me now either. So, you can't read between the lines to know what's really going on. As far as downgrading other table mechanics, that's where I have to call BS, because I'm always helping other table mechanics across the country on a daily basis, but when someone starts talking BS because they have no idea what they're talking about, that's where I draw the line, and you bet, I will say something about it if it's wrong;)

I can totally accept that response. I just feel, (as I'm sure many other people do as well) You don't have to talk down to someone on here because they don't agree with your opinion or know as much as you. Again, I highly respect your work and your pictures speak volumes, but no need to talk to some people the way you do. Merry Christmas, and I hope you get to spend some time with your kiddos.

Charlie
