In my other thread, you can see pics of my garage and partial table. Here are a few pics showing the table and room colors. I can't decide whether to go with the well know "green" or the dark blue in the pics.

Carpet, and table colors:

Thanks in advance for any and all opinions.

Sincerely,

I took along time to make this decision but after I went with Tournament Blue I woild never have Green again. Easy on the eyes and brighter. Good luck with your project.

Thanks Marop, that's what I am thinking also.

I would still appreciate other opinions or even pics if available.

Thanks,

Russ.....

Use the lighter blue. The electric blue. I have been using it for years and it is easy on the eyes. Many pool rooms are going to it.

Do some of the major tournaments use electric blue, or are all the blue photos I'm seeing tournament blue?

All the major tournaments are Tournament Blue

i went with tourney blue and love it, very happy. Its funny but the tourney blue to me is more electric blue than the electric blue is.

Thanks for the info!!!

Is the Tourney Blue a lighter blue color than the electric blue?? I guess I can go to the Simonis website and check it out.

Thanks again,

Russ....

I personally like green cloth. I just think it looks better. I do not, however, like the fact that Masters does not make a regular green chalk. They only make a teal. That leaves more difficult cleanup on the table. They do make a color that wil lblend with the tournament blue though. Sounds dumb, but those little off color chalk marks can be a pain to brush off.

Tournament Blue is my favorite and I used be a die hard "Pool tables are green" guy. I just seem to see the balls a little better.

Russ,

I have the green on mine. It gives it more of a sporty, traditional and old fashioned look. If I were to have it covered again, I would probably go with tournament blue or the darker electric blue. Blue goes better with home decor, typical colors, etc.

I'm thinking of using the darkest of the 3 blues. I wonder if that one would be too dark and make seeing the balls too difficult? The lighter Tournament Blue might look funny next to the darker blue I had the skirts and aprons painted??

Decisions, decisions, decisions.........

Russ....

I'm using the Tourny blue and am very happy with it but in your case , due to the colors you've painted the table (Very sweet looking IMO) I think I would go with the electric blue to match the rails. I have played on it before as well and don't think it'll make that much of a difference in how the balls show up on a well lit table.

Great looking room too BTW.

Tournament blue is great,i dont know why all poolhalls dont switch over, its so much easier on the eyes.;)

You may even want to consider Camel. That's what I went with the last time... and I really like it. Very easy on the eyes, and you can use tan chalk.

MY Vote

goes for the tournament blue. It seems to go with your color scheme best
and I just like the color also for playing.

i just had my GCIV moved and new cloth, and i went with the standard green 860. the main reason was because the dominant color in my place is blue, and i didnt want too much blue. so i went with standard green.

however, i might - MIGHT - have made a mistake. even though it would be totally overkill on blue, i think in about a year i might have the mechanic(s) back and have them put either Powder Blue or Tournament Blue on the table. i think i would like one of them better on the table.
