Looks like a Meucci to me too. Would be able to tell for sure with a closer pic of the joint pin and the shaft insert.

what is the price,do you know if louie roberts played with the cue?
No we don't know. After much research we've discovered that the cue was made by Bob Meucci and is similiar to his MO2. The case has a Viking inscription on the clasp.
I'm asking $750 for both. Thanks for the inquiry.

Hello, I knew Louie during the 1970's and Meucci was his sponsor. Louie used to get different model Meucci cuess all the time, from around 1977 through the early 1980's that is pretty much all he played with. He would give them to freinds after a tournament, but this is only the second one I have seen engraved and the other was pretty fancy not a plain jane cue. can say this though, he also paly with a couple of Huebler cues. Paul was and is located in Linn, Mo and he use to travel up to St. Louis and sell his cues in the early days of his business.

I would like to see a photo of the cues butt a more clearly with the bumper, and please also include a clear photo of the shaft insert and the pin.

Now it is well know that Meucci did make lines of cues for famous players that they sponsored, however, the engraving doesnt look like their style. It could however have been a Proto-type that was never put into production.

Please post the additional photo's of the cue!!!

Thanks Craig

If that bumper is original, it does not look like a Meucci bumper from the 70's

Definately not an original Meucci bumper from the '70s. When Meucci changed to the newer style bumpers they made 2 sizes. Small and large hole for the old and new Qs, but both sizes have the new style head. If an original bumper is lost u must buy the new style bumper or leave an empty hole and an unprotected butt cap. The bumper in the pic has the new style head. In my collection I have several 70s-80s Qs with the new style bumper heads. It was/is very easy to lose the old style bumpers as were simply straight and frequently fell out. Even the new bumpers fall out too, but not as bad as the old ones.
