Need Prayers for Mike Webb

Mike Webb needs prayers from the pool/billiard community. As so many know is his one of the best cue makers in the New England area and a great asset to all things dealing with pool/billiards. Mike is currently in ICU fighting for his life. Will post updates to this thread as soon as get them. Until then I am respectfully asking that the pool/billiard community take 10 seconds out of their day to say a prayer for him...
😳. I'm so sorry to hear this. Mike and I text back and forth every so often. I will definitely keep him in my prayers.
🙏

Mike, please know we are all pulling for you to have a complete recovery, whatever is going on. I want another hug—soon. Keith and I will make a Joss Tour weekend event if I know you're in the house. It will be worth the trip, just so we can hang out on your tailgate again.

Can we ask the House Pro to allow a Go Fund Me link in a new thread posted in any Forum, even Ask The Cue Maker?
I know that we don’t want this site to turn into a fund raising opportunity for every cause but on a case by case basis, in
my opinion, it does seem reasonable and appropriate to do it from time to time for respected, well known members.

There but for the grace of God go I…….instead of buying another piece of expensive pool chalk, maybe donate part
or all of that money toward a good cause. It doesn’t have to involve Az members. There’s other worthwhile causes like
St. Jude, The Shriners, Wounded Warrior Project and others that you undoubtedly know. But right now it’s about Mike.

Mike Webb, a legendary figure in the pool community and world-renowned cue maker, is currently fighting for his life in the ICU. For decades, Mike has touched countless lives through his masterful craftsmanship, dedication to the sport, and most importantly, his generous heart.

Known globally for his exceptional cue making and repair work, Mike has been more than just an artisan – he's been a pillar of our pool family. His unparalleled work ethic and commitment to perfection have made him the go-to craftsman for players far and wide.

Today, Mike lies unresponsive in intensive care, and he needs our support more than ever. The pool community has always taken care of its own, and now it's time for us to rally behind one of our most beloved members.

Every contribution, no matter the size, will help support Mike's medical expenses during this critical time. Let's come together to show Mike and his family the same love and dedication he's shown our sport for so many years.

Thank you for your generosity. Please share this campaign with fellow pool players, enthusiasts, and anyone who believes in helping those who've given so much to others.

I have received some word from Mike's family that he was nodding yes/no to basic questions at the hospital. If I hear anything more, I will post updates as I can. If there is hope, there is something.

I don't know Mike Webb. But God does. I will pray for him.

For anyone that may not realize it. Spending this much time in ICU means Mike is literally fighting for his life. His situation has to be incredibly serious.

I spent 7 days in ICU back in 73 after an auto accident. That was a long long time ago medically speaking. Given all the advancements since that time my seven days then must be like a few hours now. This is very very serious.

His immediate family and close friends are suffering as well hoping that he will come out of this soon. To all that believe in faith keep on sending prayers to him and his family during this crisis, we can all help!

Whoa, what year was this? Do you have any other photos from Golden Cue?

I was told Mike needs a heart valve replacement. He went to ER short of breath. I don't know the details from ER to ICU.
I had open heart surgery 9 weeks ago, to replace my aortic valve. I was only in the hospital 4 days total, which is typical (4-6 days is what the surgeon told me, and I know other people who had the same experience I had), and in another month or so, I will be pretty much fully recovered. It's a major deal for me, of course, but it's fairly routine for the surgeons. They do this type of heart surgery every day, and the procedure is well known. It's not without risk, however, and there is a very small chance that bad things can happen. Whatever the case, I'm sending best wishes Mike's way, and hoping for a speedy recovery.

I'm glad you had a full recovery. This information is good to know and is uplifting.
