Bought this cue originally thinking it was a Huebler. The pics I saw of it made the thread of the shafts look black so I thought they were nylon. I get it and everything about the cue is different than what I thought. Thread is brass. 5/16x18 flat face joint. IVORY joint, ferrules and inlays. And yes, I am 100% positive that they are ivory. The points even seem to be nicely done. Everything nice and even. I believe the butt cap was replaced at some point as it doesnt seem like it is original. And it will need it again.
Dont know if possible very early Meucci or what. But everything is straight. All I do know is it has some years behind it. Look how dark the shafts are. The joint isnt chipped or cracked. Just a finish chip that is dirty. Gonna try to clean it. Got the weight bolt out. The buttcap is slid over a white material. I believe it to be original as it seems to be part of the white ring that you can see above the cap. But in the last pic you can see where the piece is chipped. I believe it was chipped when the first cap was broken. (Guess anyway) The wrap is cortland I believe as well. Thanks to all for any input
