I will more than likely be ordering either a Dick Neighbors or Woody Woodworth cue in the near future. I was wanting to hear some opinions from anyone who has played with either or both. Woodworth's shop is just a few hours from me. Or if you like anyone else better than both please share. I am looking to get my first custom cue for under 1k. Iv'e only owned production, and even thought about getting a new Schon or McDermott

I won my biggest 9ball tourny ever with a Dick neighbors cue.
The 2000 lexington All Star open beating Alex P. In the finals.
That man makes a great hitting cue!! And does great work.
Nice to deal with also. I think for the $ It's one of the best.

That's mho.John Brumback

i just recieved a cue from dicky a few weeks ago and i love it...you cant go wrong with getting a cue from dicky

I'm waiting on a cue from Dickie right now and can't wait. I don't think there has been a day that has gone by that I haven't looked at pictures of the blank. He has been a pleasure to work with and I would recommend him before I have even received the cue just based on the dealings I have had so far with him.

go with dickie

Dick is the way to go. he builds the stick to suit you and what you want. from tip to bumper it will be your cue. plus there is the go with bartrum and brumback rule.lol

I haven't owned a Woodworth player, but I do own a j/b and it's the best break cue I've owned. It also jumps very well.

i bought mine on recomendations from the forum (including chris) and i am very happy. i don't think you can do better. here's mine.

Avoid Woodworth. Pretty cues with great designs, but hit is inconsistent from cue to cue. The one that hit well hit very, very well. But the ones that don't hit well, well, don't hit well.

I agree with insane... I have a Woodworth that hits like a dream. Actually I like it more than most cues I've ever hit with except a Cog but there is no competition there. Then I came across a sneaky from Woody and it wasn't the same hit or feel. I will say that if you like Woody's style he will let you hit with his cues and I'm sure he will not let you leave until your satisfied. I haven't had the pleasure of hitting with one of Dickie's cues. Hope this helps:thumbup:

Im with the 2 above posters regarding Woody's cues...I hit with one at DCC when he was at the Ex West and that cue hit very very good....then a buddy had one made and it had the hit of a cheap cue....felt very artificial to me...I have heard great things about Dickie and will eventually have him make a cue for me as well....good luck with whichever you choose!!
