New Acquisition - Alex Alpert

Is Alex actually Tony Zinzola?

I'm not knocking your cue or your thread Ross so please do not think that. But..... Ummmmmm........

That cue looks exactly like everything Zinzola has ever built right down to the extra long points and the engraving on the bumperless butt.

Also, the fact that Alex lists his location as the neighboring town to Tony makes me scratch my head. Lol

What makes me scratch my head is your insinuation and the fact that you would make a statement of the sort..

It is no secret that Alex learned a bit from Tony, and yes, it does show, but Alex is his own person and made this cue on his own accord and talent. He has his own shop at his own house. He has his own wood. He also has his own social security number, if you can believe that.

No, they are not the same person.

Guys,

Take it easy. The post was meant to be tongue in cheek and I ended it with a "lol". I even started the post by stating I wasn't trying to knock the thread or cue.

You guys always just want to bash people here without thinking of how the post was intended.

Geesh! :p

SBE Question

Was Alex Alpert at SBE this year? I was at my local pool room and someone mentioned his name and said that he sold out and someone paid a good amount for one of his cues.

I have been off of AZB since work has been a little busy and didn't see much about Mr Alpert, but would like to hear all the noise about this cue maker. The cues look very clean and I do like the designs.

Best of luck in cuemaking Mr A. Alpert.
