New Jackpot/Zorro Threads - Over/Under

I've viewed all the post and found it sad that you'll are jealous of a person who's doing something you are not. I have played with the Zorro cue plays very nice, hits well, and a pretty cue. so quit acting like a bunch of "D" Or come up with your own ideals without trying to TARISH someone else.

Here’s another question was there a Tascarella Mistakenly sent out? Or was that a diversion from What we know now?

It was alleged, but other than the fact it can be questioned, I haven't seen any indication the claim is fabricated.

I do think there's a chance it was misplaced, though I don't know what the storage facilities look like.

if these are, in fact, schmelke cues then they are good quality very affordable cues. When I say very affordable, I mean you could have called in and ordered the cue yourself and saved more than $250 which is over 50%, a sizable savings. You could have achieved this as a single retail customer calling in your order for the very first time.

dean ordered a "batch" of these cues so, presumably, he got a discount making the margin even bigger.

Let me be clear. I don't begrudge anyone for buying low and selling high. In fact, I admire that. But I'm not a fan of anyone being deceitful in order to achieve it.

Dean is able to be Dean because of people like you who lap up his crap like it's an ice cream cone.

There, somebody had to say it.

We have a separate forum for political talk.

I don't think they bought finished cues, if they did in fact get from Schmekle, due to holes not being countersunk. Also, I believe it was stated the cues were finished by jack or whoevers lathes that Jack was going to use.

Would anyone ever pay that much extra for a schmelke blank just because it was finished by someone other than schmelke. ...Yes they would

I wouldn't speculate on that. I'm pretty sure it was a complete order based on what we've seen. It would be way too much work and expense for a cue maker to finish those blanks, joints, separate handle wood, shafts - no way. Better to get Schmelke to wholesale the cue for under $200 and $60 for an extra shaft. The fact that Dean is not on here denying it gives credibility to the Schmelke story.

"The fact that Dean is not on here denying it gives credibility to the Schmelke story."

I've been wondering when somebody was going to drop that dime.

Jealous of somebody misrepresenting a product and ripping people off?

TARNISH someone? You mean the guy that lied about the cues? He did that to himself

There is no doubt that Dean knows this thread exists and his uncharacteristic quiet speaks volumes.

Also, jackpot (Jack Potter) continues to log onto azb regularly but hasn't posted anything since early January. Knowing there is all of this controversy (and threads) over 'his cues' I would have thought he'd offer a sentence or two to clarify things.

Did Dean put Jack in a difficult spot?

or do both Dean & Jack bear responsibility in this?

here's a general quote from one of the myriad "Jackpot" sales threads:

"$500 with 1 shaft,$600 with 2

these will sell for over #1000 apiece if we make them again
for now it is a labor of love"

You must spread some Reputation around before giving it to Kickin' Chicken again.

You are quite clear. And thank you for sounding like you may be bringing this to a close. But we all know that will not happen anytime soon.

You had damn near twenty posts in the previous thread. It died a slow and miserable death. But you refused to let it lay in peace, so you started another.

Can you not let it go? "There, somebody had to say it."

when I speak, or type, it's for myself.

when you refer to "we all" as you did above it makes me think, is he representing a larger group than just himself?

Are you a spokesman, jimmy?

Jack is spending all his time with his wife. She has a serious medical issue and has spent a number of days in Scott and White Hospital. I doubt he has worried much about posting in threads when his wife and he are fighting for a cure.

I am not speaking for Jack but I do have a friend in Temple who knows the situation.

Jimmy,

I don't like seeing someone getting beat up publicly and either does Brian unless they deserve it. Dean has totally brought this on himself simply because of the poor way he handled it.

Brain is a very nice guy who rarely gets on somebody unless it's truly egregious, like in the case of Bill Stroud's default. Dean's actions in selling and follow-up are reprehensible in so many ways.
I don't want to rehash all that. Dean has been exposed by his own admissions and the Schmelke allegations fueled the fire more.

I agree, let's let it die but honestly he could have killed this off with a truthful explanation and an apology some time ago. It was up to him - he just would not listen.

Chris
