With all the recent threads on chalk, I'm going to let everyone in on my new chalk idea.

This is pending final negotiations with Tweeten, Longoni, and other industry standards.

For years, we have seen the success of layered laminated leather tips. For years, we have debated the superiority of different chalks. Debate no longer. I have come up with a new solution, the layered chalk cube.

*trumpet sounding*

Top layer is Masters, Middle layer is Longoni Blue Diamond, and the final layer is Silver Cup. Giving you the option to select the right chalk for the right shot. So far, I don't have a product yet, just a cool slogan or two. Your tip is layered, why not your chalk. In today's marketing, this can make up for a ill conceived idea and crappy execution.
 
Don't forget about that magic chalk and the other stuff longoni has super nib or something, can we do different colors like to match tables or even holidays,

What about mood chalk that changes color as you catch a gear?

Love the idea apply for you patent now, lol...
 
How about remote controlled exploding chalk. That way when someone steals your chalk you just hit your remote and problem solved.

Add an option that the cube can only be placed chalk face up on the rail. If someone tries to set it down any other way, it flips to the correct orientation like a Segway that won't fall over.

Feel free to take my idea. No patent pending on it. :thumbup:

I was going to save that announcement for the BCA expo. Egg shaped chalk. Inspired by Weebles, my chalk may wobble, but my chalk won't fall down.

My third and final idea for today

From personal observation, the most effective is the top 1/3 layer of the chalk cube. When the cube gets bored too deep, it becomes useless and start putting more chalk on the ferrule than the tip.

Show me someone with a dirty ferrule and I bet that person is either inproperly chalking or holding on to a chalk cube past its useful life; common amongst Blue Diamond and Pre-Flag Masters chalk users.

In my idea the first 1/3 of the chalk cube will be made up of *um* chalk.

The rest of the cube will be hollow space. What sets mine apart is the hollow space is filled with pure nitrogen displacing oxygen which can prematurely age and 'oxidize' the chalk. Did you know Costco and Walmart pump nitrogen into car tires? Same reason.

Concern about nitrogen leaking out? I will back it with a guarantee. If the nitrogen level ever drops below 73%, I will replace the chalk, no questions ask. Just pay for shipping and handling.

Saving the environment
We're doing our part to be environmentally responsible. By keeping only using 1/3rd of the normal amount of chalk, we're contributing less to landfills.

Congratulations on your new product,I hope it benefits you and the pool world,But layered are NOT superior ,I went through alot of tips and money only to realize that Archer,SVB and other top pros use triangle tips,I cut a kamui off and put a triangle on,it was one of the best moves I ever made as far as equipment goes.Superior is a BIG claim ,Anyway Happy Easter and Good Luck :)
 
Instead of that complicated design - Why don't we have a bore hole at both sides.

Or even better:
If we could use the chalk on all 6 sides - now that could be a patent!:D

why dont you just make a radially laminated chalk? made from like 6 different chalks, and instead of chalking from the top, the chalk is exposed from the sides, and its curved, that way people cant drill holes into them.
 
I see, many years ago, chalk was sold in cylindes,not cubes.There was also a holder that had like a 1/2 ball on the bottom of it,keeping the chalk upright.
I like the 73% nitrogen guarantee.
 
How about a tip impregnated with chalk? This way cubes of chalk will become obsolete all together. Great idea right??:thumbup:
