I asked Murray several years ago for a 4 point, 4 veneer cue in the traditional style. He surprised me with this at SBE two weeks ago, and it is exactly what I wanted.
It has classic veneer colors, with dark coco into curly maple. The coco is so dark and brown that several people thought it was Braz. The ivory Hoppe ring butt piece is sleeved with phenolic so that it extends down into the end, with an engraved, polished weight bolt. Old, heavy shaft wood tops it off.
Several people shot with it and agree that Murray makes a great playing cue.
Does it get any better? I think not, sir! 8)
Thanks, III.
