New Varney with blk G10 Radial

Cue wood selection

I really like the wood combination in this Varney cue. The cocobolo handle sets off the curly maple real well and it makes a great contrast between the light colored forearm and the butt sleeve.

Here's what I'm going to do. I'm going to pretend that you are NOT denying having said that you "do all of her (Kristi Karter's) work now" because you did. It was clear as day. It sparked a 9 or 10 page thread as a result. But it seems evident that so many people think I'm beinmg "too mean". So fine. I'll stop. However, I think you should know that I have made arrangements to hit with someone's all original Varney in the near future and then post an objective review. After that, you'll likely never hear from me again because, truth be told, I'm getting tired of this as well. I can make a fistful of truthful statements and you'll still deny them all. You'll still boast that you are among the best and I'll still disagree. And even if I post that I like the way your cue plays or looks or both, you'll still probably ***** that I'm not saying it nicely enough. And if not you, one of your ever-so-loyal fans will.

So, one more post at a date to be named later and then, see ya buddy.

I think the time some of you guys spend on the forums giving your expert opinions would be better spent practicing the game so that you can actually PLAY pool, instead of discuss it all day.

And as far as that review, I will treasure it just like all your other posts, they make a great bird cage liner.

Kristi Carter has proven her credibility to be next to worthless. I don't see any concievable way this can be looked at any differently. Maybe she needs meds or something I don't know but she blatantly lied to drum up drama and then retracted only to disappear when people started calling her on her crap.

I love how pharaoh bashes the likes of Edie and a proven reliable business man in Varney only to stand behind a proven liar in Carter.

I am not questioning Kevin's business practices. How many times do I have to say that??? I am saying that his ego is laughable and that if someone wants to stand on a mountain and claim that they are the king, he better damn well expect others to try and challenge him.

But you don't see that. All you see is me being the ass hole. If Ford took their cheapest model car and tried to advertise it as something that was competitive with the likes of a Benz or a BMW and then priced it accordingly, would you sit back and say "Hey! Good for them!" or would you question it???

You make me laugh Bishop. You sit there and tell me what is good and decent conduct on this site and what is not. And then you call me things like the 'self-appointed AZ police'. You are a funny, funny guy.

Now we get to the root of the problem...when you can't do either very well you might as well take two weeks off, then quit.
 
At first I thought Brian was an idiot but then he chilled his post and gave some good insight.I have been here almost since the inception and Fl and shorty derserved to be banned even though i miss some of their threads.I own right now a Viattorre, a Bryan Mordt and a kerry zeiler.I also have a Searing on order.I have never hit with a varney but he seems to be fairly new to making cues.I do like the radial pin that cog uses.I played with one that one of the girl pros was using.It was the first time I saw the pin.Nice hit.I have owned a lot of the so called greats cues.Some I liked some I didn't.My taste has gotten more simpler the longer I buy cues.Now i look at the woods differently then before.I don't need tons of ivory inlays or points and veneers.Brian has been around for awhile also so he knows better then to just say he hates everyone and he dosn't care what anyone thinks.I know he really does care or he wouldn't post.
Brian you can explain why you don't like Varneys cues without bashing him personally.You know better then that.You also know that mike spends a lot of time keeping this site up and its still the best site going.That my 2 cents worth.

Yes Brian and Kevin have both stopped going dogging each other in threads.

The history is there for anyone that wants to search for it. No need to dig it all up to the top again...This board has had too much of that and these guys did their part to stop it.

I think (well hope) that everyone would agree, and let it go.

Despite whatever Bishop may think about me being a 'pr!ck' and that my opinions are unwanted and unneeded, I must say that its two months later and, while I had forgotten all about this thread, apparantly others have not as i keep getting positive rep for it.

You can definately tell we've got a real diverse board. I've been rep'd up as well. I've said it before and I'll say it again we should have a classic section. Lock the thread and move it to its own Classic Thread Forum.
 
Personally I would like to thank everyone for bumping my thread. Just today alone I've taken orders for two very similar curly cues w/G10 pins...all due to seeing the pics in this thread. THANK YOU!!! :)

here's my take. I gave my opinion. And that's all that it is/was... MY opinion. But while I give my opinion, you get free publicity/advertising out of it. So it works out for everybody.

Keep up churning out the cues.

And Bishop, I agree. This site could benefit from a classic section for all of the classic threads so that they NEVER die!
