Nicest Cuemakers

Paul Drexler, and Dan Jaynes. Met Dan at his shop in 1989 when a friend of mine had an OLD Joss that Dan actually remembered building himself. Had an awesome visit. Paul I called interested in a cue about 4 years ago, and we talked on the phone about cues and pros and pool for over 2 hours. That talk I really think fed my love of cues and building and pool more than nearly any other single incident in the last 10+ years. I doubt he would remember me at all, but I will forever remember that telephone chat with a super nice cue builder, and an incredible artist.

Hard to name a favorite so I will stick with Dennis Searings dog.

I have been dealing with the Joseys. I have been such a pain with changing design elements in my next project. They have been very accommodating
and offered great feedback. It was such a pleasant experience and ultimately they will make a cue I would love to look at and play with. +1 and already thinking of my next cue.

I only know one cue maker personally. Chris Byrne here in Colorado.
Not only does he make some great looking cues he is a real nice person.
Doesn't mind talking about cues and cue construction.
And he doesn't mind working on my mighty Lucasi cue.

Well I put in Joe Gold. He's making me a cue now and I have had the pleasure of going to his shop on several visits recently. He's knowledge of cue making is on a par with the best and on top of that he is a hoot to hang out with. I'm hoping to get him out to shoot some pool once he gets some free time. Lately he's been swamped plus he's always tinkering with that damned Ducati. What a bike!!!!

Adam Franks

I recently bought a used custom cue by Adam Franks out of NM and contacted him to refinish it.

He was extremely helpful through the whole process giving me updates by calling and speaking with me directly. He even called a the day I recieved it and a few days later to make sure I was happy with it, which i very much am :)!

Adam is a very nice guy, loves the game, and works hard to satisfy the customer. I look forward to ordering more from him in the future.

The nicest cue makers

I have two cuemakers I have to say a couple about. The first Is a great cue maker named Rick Geschrey with Esoteric cues. He bulit two of my cues he walked me through everything. He is so knowlageable sorry can't spell. But if I had a question about anything he would explain everything to me inway that I can understand. Rick is also one of the most humble men that I have met on AZB. like I said I cannot say enough about him. Rick you are awsome buddy, and you have a friend for life.

I also have to say something about another young cuemaker. His name is Darrin Hill with Hills cues. Darrin have hooked up on soome cues, Darrin is the same kind of cuemaker that will tell you anything you need to know about your cue he is building for you. He is the kind of guy that would invite me into town from CA to ILL and stay at his place and let me help out inthe shop and teach me about his cuemakeing expertice. What a guy Darrin you have found a friend for life in me you take care . And keep pushing those cues out you will be in the Hall of Fame of cue buliders some day. Thanks to both cue makers I talked about in this thread.

Your Friend (Ziggy) Chris G.:thumbup::thumbup:

Mr. Al Bautista (BlackPearl). He's great to talk to. Also, he's one of the rare cue makers who personally thanks pretty much everyone who posts comments on his "latest cue" threads.

Cheers

ill add michael durbin. went to his place a few months ago for some retipping of cues that were not even purchased from him and we spent about an hour working on my break

BOB Runde

Ive met alot of nice guys in the cue business . Bob Runde has always been the guy from the past you could do business with the shake of his hand. He has always just tried to make the best cue he can . If he played pool as good as he makes cues , they would be called Reyes not RUNDES.

J. Pechauer ---NICE

I just bout a P08 (13mm) and a P10 (12.5mm). What a couple of nice hitting cues. Stiff with control.

Toured the shop...nice vaccum drier, good lathes, process control, and equipment. I have been in quality assurance for 30 years.

Nice cues you can't go wrong.

Bill

My list is actually very short...I have not had that many cues direct from the maker.

Murray Tucker...very nice...and very, very patient with PITA's. :p :)

Keith & Sherri Josey...super people, really.

Jim Buss...while I have yet to order from him, he was extremely quick to reply, and answered all my questions, and then some.

Skip Weston...was nice to me. :)

Mike Webb....is always just a nice guy.

MasonH...very nice and answered my questions.

JoeyinCali...always nice, and always seems to make me chuckle. :)

Paul Allers..super nice, will talk cues all day long with you. :)

Dennis Searing...again, just a really nice guy, and answered all my questions, and then some. :)

Brent Hartman..not only nice, but extremely humorous. :)

I am sure I am leaving many others out, and for that I apologize. I do not own cues from many of the above...but if I could, I wouldn't hesitate to order from them!

Okay...maybe the list wasn't that short...LoL!

Lisa

Ditto on the Hartman.....Great guy.

You forgot the best

Chris Hightower

There are so many super nice cuemakers out there that it is hard to even know where to start. But here are just a few: Josey, Gilbert, Nat Green, Cameron, Kevin Wright, Dieckman, Both Bluds, Scruggs, the Prathers, Tad, Schick, Horn and so many more that I have had the pleasure of knowing I could not begin to name them all.

I've not dealt with that many cue makers but in my experience Tim and Mike were two of the best.

Mr. Kenny Murrell

He's bringing back older cues to life that some of the cuemakers i've contacted didnt even bother on replying.
