Nick Varner on TAR?

Ok, I have heard all about CJ. He seems ok, but if would have my druthers (is that a word?), I would like to see Nick Varner playing one-pocket on TAR.

Lets mix it up a little.

Please no more Earl, and I need a break from SVB.

Lets get Nick and Johnny Archer in a little one pocket action.

Any ideas?

It would be awesome to have Nick on TAR. I don't know what the right match up would be and only playing one pocket probably wouldnt get it. An all around might make sense.
 
Well I am with Nick right now and just saw this thread. We have been traveling all day and just got to the hotel. Nick isn't against the idea and I am sure we will talk more on it tomorrow when he is awake and able to put his 2 cents on this.

..with the winners from each set playing each other for the 'King of the Hill'.

THAT'S the match-up!
Nick Varner vs Efren Reyes....all-round

Both a little over the hill...but between them they have more knowledge
than any other two people on the planet.
And Nicky took a win over Efren in his prime....
...and went to the Philippines to do it.
 
Any of the aforementioned matchups sound cool. I don't think that a break from SVB is needed, as I never tire from watching top flight pool...and he's one of the best for sure! But a "Legends" old school type of matchup has a lot of promise as well, especially in an all around format.
 
This is the one to try to put together:

Varner vs Bodendorfer playing 1 pocket!

Think how many props we can get down... Time before first shot attempt, time before first wedge attempt, #of intentional fouls taken (maybe best to play without 3 foul rule)

Nick and Artie? You must be joking. There isn't enough No-Dose available to make me watch those two. Like the idea of the "props" though. How about making it a round robin foursome? Add Bucktooth and Dippy Dave :eek: :rolleyes: :grin-devilish:.

If you set it up .... they will come.

I talked to Nick when Nick and Johnny were in Memphis doing exhibitions. (Great time and excellent job).

Nick said he didnt think he could beat Johnny playing 9 ball. I said, "Hell, I want you to put the wedge on him!"
Nick laughed and said he would love to play him...;)

Nick and Johnny are class acts, and champions. This would show how real champions act on TAR, not the circus known as Earl.

Where can I make payment on the stream for this?:D

He has to come to the states first. That doesnt happen much anymore. Efren has an open invitation. He can play whenever he likes.
