Nifty idea for storing chalk in your cue case.

Over the years I've bought a few rings from the jewelry stores. I am a packrat of sorts, never throwing away anything I think I may use in the future. I have several of the little spring-loaded flip-up boxes that the ring comes in of various sizes (depending on which store you purchased a ring from). I pulled the guts from a couple of these boxes and found that the smaller ones perfectly hold two pieces of chalk and my Tip-Pik while the larger one perfectly holds four pieces of chalk and my Tip-Pik. Either fits nicely into the pockets of my cue cases. Good for keeping chalk from getting all inside the pocket and easily accessed. Way better than the zip-lock bag I was using. Just thought I'd share this info.

Blue Diamond chalk comes in a nice little box that holds two pieces of chalk.

I just keep one of those in my case. Works great and keeps things clean.

Russ.....

Nice idea, was thinking about this last night as my case is a pain to dig through, would be nice to keep my chalk, tip pik and tip tool in one place.

Oooooor you could call royce at ob1 and get him to sell you some of the chalk holders hes got. I think he only sells em in bulk but thats fine. I just flip em at the pool hall, for beer money. Theyre like the blue diamond cases but they hold 2,3 or 4 peices and close to fit snugly around the chalk.

Chalk boxes

Certain Rx tubes are perfect for two or three cubes.

Sang Lee sells his own brand of chalk in a nice three pack plastic box.

I just use the 12 piece box......keep some chalk, some pennies, and anything else I like, works fine....gets a little chalk on the items, but I'm not picky and it keeps it off the case...

I think the guys over at Euro Pocket Chalker made some leather-made cases that hold either 2 or 3 pieces of chalk. I got two of the cases that hold 2 cubes made from a brown suede and it matches my Instroke Buffalo great. It's about the same size as the Blue Diamond chalk box with a top flap that is buttoned closed. I just checked their website but couldn't find it. I'll keep digging around to see if I can find where I found them in the first place.

All shapes and sizes as well as thicknesses..

Still nothing is better then the old 1980 like camera film holders (http://t1.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:...o_3869929-film-canister-for-analog-camera.jpg). My dad used them for quarters, I use them for chalk.

WOW. Great idea. I use em for quarters; Keep em in my car for parking meters.

I'll bet I could figure out some neat arrangement to fasten one to the outside of my cue case. 1) save room in the pockets for the WAY TOO MUCH STUFF that I carry and 2) keep the chalk REALLY REALLY handy!

Thanks for the post.
