No joke: Black Widow pool table on eBay for $125,000

It's actually a pretty cool-looking table, but there ain't no way I'd pay somebody $125,000 on eBay with only 9 feedbacks. ;)

He's crazy asking $125,000

why hasn't Jeanette thought of this? a gotdam million dollar idea. I better call her and tell her about it.

How about a talking pool table? After the ball goes in the pocket, the table has a recording device that says "Good shot" or "Oooh, the impossible dream."

Or a flash back from the late 80's when she hung out at Chelsea Billiards with her backer "Blood".

"I'll play you for $20 if you spot me the 6." Jeanette Lee

I don't dislike her, but I dislike her attitude. She's in the right place now.

Keith and Jeanette have a history which is kind of funny now, many years later. They got into a gambling match, with Keith spotting her a couple balls. After she won a big chunkie, Keith wanted to adjust, and Jeanette said "No way, Jose" and quit. It left a sour taste in Keith's mouth for many years. :D

They're okay today with each other, but I think Keith hasn't forgotten about that match -- EVER. :embarrassed2:

I remember when Amsterdam Billiards first opened on the Upper West Side of Manhattan. She walked in and said "hi" and I ignored her. Not someone I need/want to ever be associated with, or anyone else who lacks integrity. ;)

Table

Now they are thinking' a steel frame/structure....only thing is that the slate sill " area that the slate rest on" will need to be machined to match the bottom side of the slate because the bottom of the slate is not machined as flat as the top so the two surfaces sit dead flat with each other when the slate is installed on the steel frame.

The problem for me is that I live in a one bedroom Manhattan apartment.

If I put tis table in the bedroom, I have to sleep on it. If I put it in the living room, I might have to eat dinner on it.

... so, just in case another poster is considering buying me one of these, thanks but no thanks.

That said, it's probably one seriously cool table.

I'll take a new Gold Crown any day.

Dont tell me she asked for more weight than she needed? Ive never ever even Heard of a pool player doing that!

Interesting -I didnt know Blood (RIP) was her backer-I didnt meet him until 93 or so.

I asked someone (Intnl Sal) where he got his cash. Sal says "He has always been a good earner" Ahahahaha.

I loaned Kid Vicious a little cash once-had a stick for collateral. The day he was supposed to pay me back Blood was there and long story short Eddie came up empty and somehow, Blood paid me-took over the loan and took a ring in addition to the stick for collateral. So Eddie went from owing a soft touch like me to owing Blood.

BTW Mt Vernon Tommy (RIP), as only Tommy would, DID give JL the 6 AND 6 games on the wire going to 13. Guess who won?
